Good morning,
Make yourself comfortable in an upright position,
Perhaps still in your warm bed or upon a pillow.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and let everything go through your mouth.
Once more,
Breathe in and out.
Keep breathing slowly for a moment and feel yourself arrive in the moment you're in.
Today we're going to keep our focus on gratefulness,
Appreciation.
Sometimes it's easier to rush through life and the feeling of being on our way somewhere,
Someplace else,
Rarely leaves us.
Our thoughts are often rushing ahead of us,
Even now in the early morning,
And we're already pondering the day ahead of us.
We're not here and we don't see what we have in this moment,
In this life,
Right now.
So,
This morning we're stopping ourselves to notice life and what we have around us and inside of us.
It can be big things,
That you're grateful for a person in your life or that you're working towards or already reached a goal that you've had.
But it can also be the small things,
The smell of rain on the pavement,
That one particular house plant is still going strong,
Or gratefulness towards yourself that you're taking time for your well-being this morning.
I will give you a moment to find one or several things that you're grateful for today,
Whatever resonates with you.
Take this or these beads of appreciation and let them fill you.
Notice,
For every inhale you make,
How these things give you happiness this morning.
How this gratefulness spreads through your body and flows within you like light.
Feel this light spread through you and fill your whole being with warmth and ease.
Now take a couple of deep breaths.
Straighten your back.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes and take in the room you're in.
You are now ready to welcome this beautiful day with a newly ignited warmth.
