Hello and welcome.
I'm Savannah.
And I'm so glad you're here today.
However you found this,
Whether you're searching for something specific.
Or you just needed a few minutes.
Away from the noise,
The desk.
Being at home.
This is a good place to be.
We're just going to slow down enough to notice what's already here.
Where you are right now.
Because all real or The kind that quietly shifts within your body as you amaze upon mountaintops.
Ooh.
Meadows or a tree.
So start by looking around you.
Not searching for anything.
Not analysing.
Just let the eyes rest on whatever is in front of you.
Whether that be a tree.
.
.
The sky.
The light hitting against the surface.
The grain of wood.
Anything.
And just notice it.
Like you've never seen it before.
Stop here and pause for 30 seconds.
We spend most of our lives.
Labeling.
Mmm.
Judging.
So fast that we never actually see.
And notice the present moment.
An awe is something that happens.
When it breaks through that labeling and that judging.
So whatever you're looking right now,
Stop knowing what it is.
And look at the shape.
The colour.
The way the light is falling on this exact moment.
Which has never happened before and will never happen again like this.
Now the texture.
And if you can touch something nearby,
Whether it be the bar or grass,
A wall,
A leaf.
Touch it slowly and feel the details.
Feel the texture.
Feel if it's cold.
If it's icy.
If it's soft or velvety.
Or harsh in course.
Now look up.
Whatever is above you,
The sky,
Branches,
Clouds.
Of the sun.
Notice the scale of it relative to you.
Not in a frightening way,
In a relieving way.
Now find something moving.
Wind and leaves,
A bird.
Clouds shifting.
Leaves falling.
Maybe your breath.
In the fresh,
Cool air.
Or the waves crashing against the sand.
Watch it without narrating it.
Notice the motion.
Alive.
The constant change happening everywhere.
All the time.
Whether you notice it or not.
Take a deep breath in.
Take every moment here in.
And slow exhale out.
And notice that these are all the things that happen all the time.
Not the big moments,
Just the ordinary ones.
The morning light hitting the kitchen wall,
Or the splatter of raindrops hitting against the window.
The smell of the earth after a rainpour.
And the greenness of new leaves.
Or the red,
Brown and yellow of the old leaves as the seasons change.
These things are happening constantly.
Right now,
Around you.
And most days we're too far inside our own minds to even receive them or notice them.
Anxiety pulls you into the future.
And OO.
Pulls you back.
So notice these things around you as you go on your walk.
Take one more slow look and a deep breath in.
Wherever you are.
And find one thing.
Around you that you would call beautiful.
The color,
The shape.
And hold it in.
And then slowly let it go and exhale out.
Carry this with you today.
Nor as a practice you have to remember.
Just a permission to look up.
Or around you occasionally.
To stop enough to actually see.
That the world is doing extraordinary things.
At an ordinary speed all the time.
And you just have to be here.
To catch it.
And to notice it.
And thank you.
For walking with me today.
