Eurasian Collared Dove - Cooing Calls

This is the sound of a Eurasian Collared Dove cooing outside my house. There is a nest on top of the dish outside of the house and the pair of them seem to come back each year to make our home their home for a time. The dish is right next to my home studio window, so I placed a pair small of omnidirectional microphones out of the window there and left them all day. These microphones are great as they wouldn't disturb the birds at all because they are so small. Throughout the day, I captured a lot of happy "cooing" and "wooing" sounds. This section of audio, however, is my favorite. Unfortunately, I live quite near a busy road so the microphones picked that up too, and some general ambiance. However, the sound of the Eurasian Collared Dove takes me back to my childhood and waking up at my grandparent's house. It's a pleasing sound and I was glad I managed to capture it so close up and with so much detail. I've named the pair of them Paul & Pauline.
