Delicate & Gentle Rainfall For Stress Relief
by Ryan Garner
This was recorded in my local forest with an ambisonic headset. If you don't know what that is, it is essentially a set of earphones you wear that have powerful microphones in them. They record the audio "binaurally", meaning you hear exactly what I hear in the same context I hear it. It essentially turned me into the microphone and picked up all sounds around me as my ears heard it. Initially, I just stood still in the rain, but eventually, I took a slow walk through the forest listening to the rain, birds, and wood pigeons singing away. It was nice to experiment with something new and I hope you enjoy it. I particularly like how delicate the rain sound is in this recording, it really allows other sounds to seep through and take center stage.
