Crackling, Sizzling Candle Wick For Deep Sleep

This is a very intimate recording of a scented candle with a crackling wick burning away. I positioned the microphones as close as I could to get a very focused sound. It's a very pleasant sound these candles make. When combined with the light and scent I find it perfect for drifting off. The subtle ticking in the background is actually the radiators beginning to heat up. I quite liked this addition, as it enhances the sense of warmth and coziness I get from this ambiance. In some sections of the recording, I can't help but notice that the sound is very similar to the sound of rain in places too. I found this pretty fascinating.
