This is the second in my series of Hildegard pieces. Hildegard von Bingen (1098 – 1179) was a German Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, visionary, and polymath. In other words, an amazing woman! Her music is profoundly spiritual and mystical. It is perfect for contemplation. I feel that much of her music was made for the Shakuhachi. Listen to this musical meditation in a quiet environment. Much gratitude to Beverly Roberta Lomer for her brilliant transcriptions.
