Peace Throughout The World - A Practical Prayer

Everything, everyone everywhere, fits together into one cohesive Whole. We are all One. We are each part of the One. The parts all fit together in the perfect harmony that is peace itself. In this Practical Prayer, we claim this experience of peace and harmony, right now and continually for ourselves and for those around us.

Practical Prayer follows a specific formula, which was distilled from the effective prayers done in all major religions. Take the words for yourself, in the first person.

This is a practical prayer for peace throughout the world.

I'll say the words in the first person,

And I invite you to take them for yourself,

Also in the first person.

Everything is connected.

There is one power and presence that shares itself in many,

Many forms.

The forms may appear to be separate,

But in back of the appearance there is the One.

All of creation is this One showing itself in a unique way.

I am this Infinite One taking personal form.

Each individual is this One,

All with our own perspective,

Our own desires,

Our own path,

And our own story.

Each is distinct,

Each is unique,

And still each is part of the One.

Knowing this,

I know that everything,

Everyone,

Everywhere,

Fits together into one cohesive whole.

We are all One.

We are each part of the One.

The parts all fit together in the perfect harmony that is peace itself.

I claim this experience of peace and harmony right now and continually,

For myself and for all of those around me.

In any situation where the parts of the whole do not appear to be fitting in perfect harmony,

I choose to know better.

The idea that conflict or hostility or hatred is necessary or in any way part of the natural order is simply untrue.

I allow these wrong ideas to dissolve back into the empty shadows from which they came.

Peace and harmony are the natural order.

All is part of the One.

So I now know and affirm that anything that seemed to show separateness,

Discord,

Or aggression,

Easily and immediately resolves into the perfect harmony that is peace itself.

I am grateful for this good,

Proud to be the Ambassador of Peace.

I am grateful to bear witness to this new-found harmony,

And give thanks for the wonderful way this peace now appears in the world around me.

I know this good is at hand.

This peace,

Which surpasses all my understanding,

All human understanding,

Is here now.

I speak this word of truth.

I release it to the creative law of the universe and know with certainty that it is so.

And so it is.
