Details

Not all rest is the same. Deep Rest is a five-day pause from being constantly "on," a chance to give your nervous system the kind of rest that sleep and holidays often don't. Set in a peaceful finca surrounded by palms, citrus trees and olive groves in southern Spain, it's a quiet, unhurried space where there is nothing to achieve and nowhere to be. The retreat is inspired by the yogic principle of sthira and sukhā, steadiness and ease. Through gentle yoga, restorative practice, breathwork, meditation, reflection and time in nature, we create the conditions for your body to soften, your mind to quiet and your nervous system to restore its natural balance. You'll leave feeling more rested, more spacious and clearer about what you need, with simple practices to take home. Led personally by Joyce, an experienced teacher, in a small, welcoming group. Open to experienced practitioners and those who are new to yoga, meditation and breathwork alike.

Schedule

Deep Rest is a five-day retreat that begins with a gentle arrival session on Tuesday, then moves into three days of practice. Each day starts with guided meditation, followed by a morning yoga practice that focuses on conscious movement and breath. After a relaxed brunch there is free time to rest, swim or explore. In the late afternoon we gather again for restorative yoga, prāṇāyāma, meditation, and guided reflection and journalling. Thursday includes a coastal outing, with a walk along the beach at Genoveses to San José. Evenings are for shared vegetarian dinners and quiet time together. The retreat closes on Saturday morning, and you return home rested and grounded.
