Schedule

Center for Natural Living is pleased to share its fifteen years of training yoga teachers in Costa Rica. This 300 hour yoga teacher training is a hybrid model, with both online and in-person required to complete your Yoga Alliance 300HR certification. The training starts online Jan-June 2027, one evening a week, with two weeks to be held at Rancho Margot in March/April 2027. Take this opportunity to train with teachers who will share the lineage of yoga. The curriculum is registered with Yoga Alliance, and is based on Raja and Hatha yoga. Learn asana techniques, teaching methodology, functional anatomy, pranayama, lifestyles and philosophy. Our discourse in yoga philosophy, using the template of the yoga sutras (aphorisms) as of Sri Patanjali, helps in contextualizing yoga to our life and daily living. Guided Meditation sessions within the healing energy of the rain forest. Costa Rica - Close to trees, volcano, rivers and waterfall. Come and immerse yourself for two weeks. During the training you will get three nourishing meals, medicinal teas, and use of the warm pool. The yoga shala is adjacent to the flowing Cano Negro river. After completing the training you will be given a 300 hour completion certificate, which can be registered with Yoga Alliance as a RYT300 yoga teacher. -- "For the first portion of this training, the participants met with instructors Irum and Maria twice a week online. Each class took place in the evening and was approximately 2.5 hours long. Sessions were recorded so we could easily catch up on missed classes or rewatch classes for studying purposes. It was clear from day one, once we arrived in Costa Rica, that our online sessions had thoroughly prepared us for the in-person portion. Everything we had been taught about asanas came together seamlessly as we worked with each other to build our sequences. I can’t say enough about Irum and Maria personally and professionally. They made a fantastic team, and I not only learned a lot from both of them, I also greatly enjoyed our time together." ~ Rhiannon~

Choosing to complete my YYT through Center of Natural Living is easily one of the best decisions I've made. The entire experience was interactive and engaging, with a mix of live discussion, practice teaching to the class at least 2-3x a week, and readings. We covered the asanas, anatomy, yoga philosophy, pranayama - but perhaps more importantly, explored and deepened our personal connection with the practice. I completed the training feeling more aligned with myself and my energy, and ready to pass on the practice to others!

I completed my YTT with the Center for Natural Living via a hybrid online/in-person format. For the first portion of this training, the participants met with instructors Irum and Maria twice a week online. They made a fantastic team, and I not only learned a lot from both of them, I also greatly enjoyed our time together. Our in-person location was a nature lovers dream come true! Bring lots of high quality bug repellent, a really good flashlight, and solid water resistant shoes (my crocs work socks were perfect). Vegetarians and vegans should definitely pack protein bars, as plant based proteins were available but not plentiful. Also, if you come during rainy season, make sure your rain coat is actually a rain coat and not a windbreaker like mine was. The bunkhouse lodging was quite primitive. If that’s not your thing, upgrade to a bungalow. Just keep in mind that this is not a luxury resort. Rancho Margot is stunning, but it is a farm that is located in the rainforest. There are critters and all other aspects of nature. The bungalows and main areas of the ranch have WiFi. The bunkhouse does not. I highly recommend yoga teacher training with Center for Natural Living. Irum is wise and knowledgeable while also being down to earth and incredibly approachable. I feel ready to teach and share what I’ve learned. Looking forward to learning more from Mama Yoga.

I recently completed the Yoga RYT instructor training, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The instructors, Irum and Maria, are incredibly knowledgeable and provided a wealth of insight into both the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga. The course was structured at a perfect pace, allowing me to really absorb the material—from learning the asanas to understanding the anatomy behind the practice. I especially appreciated the feedback provided throughout the course, which gave me the confidence and skills to design and teach a 60-minute yoga session. The training also offered a well-rounded introduction to the chakras, as well as the Yamas and Niyamas, which deepened my understanding of yoga beyond just the physical practice. Thanks to the guidance of these amazing instructors, I now feel fully prepared to lead a 60-minute class and am excited to take the next steps in my teaching journey. I highly recommend this training to anyone looking to deepen their practice and become a confident, well-rounded yoga instructor!
