You've made it to the end of the day.
This is your time to unwind,
To let go and to simply be.
Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
And gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in.
Just feel the weight of the day melting away with each breath.
Let's take a few more breaths together.
Inhale deeply,
And exhale slowly.
Once more,
A deep breath in.
Allow your breathing to settle into its natural rhythm,
Soft and steady,
As we begin this journey of relaxation.
As you listen to the gentle crackle of the campfire and the soothing songs of the crickets,
Imagine yourself sitting under a blanket of stars.
Feel the warmth of the fire on your skin and the cool evening air around you.
Let your breath flow naturally like the flicker of the flames,
And just relax.
Take a moment to notice any tension in your body.
Start at the crown of your head,
Soften the scalp and release any tightness.
Now focus on your forehead,
Soothing away any creases.
Relax your face and your jaw,
Letting it hang loose and light.
Feel your neck,
Breathe in,
Allowing it to soften,
And let your shoulders drop,
Releasing any weight you're carrying.
Feel your chest,
Gently expanding with every breath,
And let your abdomen relax completely.
Notice your arms as you exhale,
And release any tension down through your hands and your fingers.
Bring your awareness to your hips,
Inviting a sense of ease.
Continue down your legs,
Relaxing your muscles and softening your knees,
Your calves,
And finally your feet and ankles,
And let any remaining tension flow out through your toes,
Dissolving into the quiet of the night.
Now reflect briefly on your day.
Without judgement,
Acknowledge what went well,
And what was neutral.
Imagine gathering the lessons and the moments of gratitude,
Like small sparks of light from the fire,
And let them warm your heart while the rest fades into the background.
Bring your attention back to your breath,
And notice how it feels steady and grounding,
Like the earth beneath you.
With every breath you inhale,
Invite calm and renewal into your life,
And with every exhale,
Release that which no longer serves you.
As we come to the close of this meditation,
Take a moment to embrace the peace that you've cultivated here.
Feel the ease in your body,
And the clarity in your mind.
Become aware of your position,
Focus your attention on your heart.
Wiggle your fingers and toes gently as you reconnect with the present moment,
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of calm and renewal with you into the rest of your evening.
Thank you for sharing this time with me,
And may your night be restful,
And your heart light.
