Rustling Leaves For Deep Sleep
by Rafael Arce
One maple, backlit, gold going through the veins. Close leaves, warm light, nothing dark about it. Twenty minutes of rustle near the bed, even enough to fall into, short enough to start over if you wake. Press play when you want trees in the room, not a hollow house. Keep the volume low. Save it for the nights a single leaf in the light is enough of a picture.
