Hello my lovely,

I'm Priscilla Daphne,

And this is a short guided meditation to help you through the grief over the loss of your animal companion.

Please remember that grief is a natural and normal response to loss,

And it's essential to allow yourself time and space to process your emotions.

This meditation is just one tool that you can use to help navigate the grieving process and find moments of peace and healing along the way.

And just know that your pet wants you to grant yourself some grace to always be kind to yourself.

Let's begin.

Find a comfortable and quiet space where you won't be disturbed for the next few moments.

Sit or lie down in a relaxed position,

Allowing your body to settle to a comfortable posture.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling slowly through your nose and exhaling gently through your mouth.

Lift your breath through your stomach as you inhale,

And gently release through your mouth as you exhale.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more grounded and present in the moment.

You may breathe now at your own pace,

Keeping it gentle and not forced.

Now let's bring your attention to your heart center,

The place where you may feel the heaviness of grief or loss.

Allow yourself to acknowledge any emotions that arise without judgment.

As you breathe in and out,

Visualize a glowing green light,

The color of your heart chakra,

Expanding and contracting with each breath.

As you breathe in and out,

Imagine the green light expanding more and more as it illuminates the area around your heart.

Visualize a peaceful and serene place,

A place where you feel safe and connected to the world around you.

It can be a lush forest,

A tranquil beach,

Or a serene meadow with flowers blooming all around you.

Wherever you are,

Imagine yourself surrounded by the sights,

Sounds,

And sensations of this place.

What do you see?

Do you see birds chirping high in the trees?

Boats floating out in the sea?

Maybe you see fairies and stardust dancing in the night sky.

Whatever it is,

It is perfect and magical.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Imagine your beloved pet joining you in this peaceful setting.

Picture them happy and healthy,

Playing and exploring without any pain or suffering.

Imagine that your animal companion is his or her most perfect self simply enjoying the moment with you.

Allow yourself to feel their presence and the love that you share.

Take this time to sit with your loving friend.

You may see yourself laying down with your pet,

Petting or holding your loved one.

Take this time to remember and experience that bond that you share.

Continue to breathe in and out as you recall the love and cherish this moment you have.

If you wish,

You may pause this meditation and allow yourself however much time you need to continue with this moment with your loved one.

Take this time to express gratitude for the time you spent together here in the physical sense,

The memories you created,

And the unconditional love that your pet brought into your life.

Reflect on the lessons they taught you about unconditional love and the joy they brought into your world.

Now,

Gently release any lingering feelings of sadness or grief,

Knowing that your animal companion spirit lives on in your heart and mind.

Allow yourself to find comfort and solace in the love that you shared and the bond that will never be broken.

Know that your pet has not left you.

They've simply discarded their fur,

Feathers,

Or scales that no longer serve them.

However,

Their love for you remains unchanged.

Remember,

You can return to this moment whenever you so choose.

Your beloved companion will always be here eagerly awaiting to share more moments such as this with you.

Take a few more deep breaths,

Slowly bringing your awareness back to the present moment.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Stretch your arms over your head,

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Then take one more deep breath and thank your sweet animal for being present with you.
