Yes the posture is of course important so we can sit in a place in a way that where we can just be not be preoccupied with the our physical discomfort or physical sensations or distractions.
And that's really the beginning of meditation.
For so many of us is really that initial.
Becoming present.
And for me,
It's really helpful to relax my body.
So there's a,
That's where.
Where your body is in the present moment.
And so bringing your attention to your body,
This is not necessarily works the same for everybody because we're all different bodies,
But There is this thing that our body is really only in the present moment.
And so by bringing our attention to our body and relaxing,
We are ready.
Becoming present.
It's really the beginning of it.
Letting go.
So when we let go,
We let go into the present moment.
Simple presence.
Yeah,
There's already a settling that takes place.
Hopefully,
At least.
Kind of a simplicity,
Simple presence.
Which in itself is a profound meditation.
And now to assist us even further with our attention and focus.
We imagine a sphere of brilliant light.
A few inches above the crowns over our heads.
And we just compel our attention to remain on this sphere.
One-pointed focus.
This sphere is brilliant,
Like the sun,
Compelling.
And powerful radiance.
Representing.
The inherent wisdom.
In the universe,
In all phenomena.
Sort of this luxurious quality of just being able to fixate on one thing.
And letting go of all others.
And then rest in that clarity,
That clarity of one-pointed focus.
Body is still relaxed.
And even though we are focusing on one point.
We are not tense about it.
It's still a quality of overall relaxation.
We are just not distracted.
And this is the opportunity to settle the busy mind.
Settle the.
.
.
Tendency.
Or the propensity for distraction or distractibility.
And once it's settled,
We see this sphere.
This brilliant sphere descending,
Moving down towards the crown of our head.
And then as it enters our body,
Enters the central channel.
Through our crown.
That brilliance floods through our entire body.
Bathing all of our cells in light.
Continues to move down towards our heart center.
And then when it comes to rest in our heart center,
We become even more aware of this flooding of our system with this benevolent light.
This loving radiance.
Loving Wisdom Radiance.
You may imagine some balancing.
Happening in your body.
Purification.
Healing,
Whatever resonates with you today.
Whatever you most need.
And then that radiance expands.
Beyond the boundaries of your body,
Out into the space around you.
And all phenomena.
You see all phenomena as rainbow light,
See it in its essence.
Radiant wisdom energy.
And I just rest in that radiant quality.
You may also imagine a benefit goes out to all beings.
Not getting involved or bogged down in the specificity or the details of this,
But just letting this light of primordial wisdom radiate out.
Into the world that is also fundamentally made of the same things.
Rest in peace.
And then finally we let go of any and all visualization or ideas about radiance and we just let our awareness fall open.
And we relax.
And just rest in that vast aspect.
We are not spacing out or going anywhere,
We remain.
Embodied.
We meditate from the heart.
But we're also not preoccupied with those things.
Just letting our awareness naturally mix.
From audio awareness.
The basic space of all phenomena.
Whenever thoughts or distractions arise.
Refresh.
The meditation.
By relinquishing.
The distraction or the preoccupation,
Letting go.
Letting awareness just be as it is.
Open and vast.
Effortlessly cognitive.
Take a few more breaths here.
Maybe use this as an invitation to rest even deeper.
And let it be even more.
Imagine that light that radiated out from our heart centers.
Dissolving back.
Into our bodies.
And then our brilliantly light-filled body.
Dissolves into the sphere in our hearts.
And then the sphere dissolves.
And we rest in that vast.
Luminous emptiness.
