Week 31.
Awake and Creative.
It's glorious.
It's marvelous.
It's wonderful.
And I repeat.
Let's dig into this Week 31 and see what we've got to offer.
I'd like to go through more definitions this week.
Goodness,
It could probably take me through the end of the year.
How about awesome?
How about exuberance?
How about inspirational?
All these words,
Filled with the wonder and delight.
Of discovery.
Of curiosity.
Of beauty.
It's where we live.
Have you forgotten?
Can you recall?
This is where we live.
I know,
I know,
I know.
It's so easy to get lost.
To think otherwise.
To watch the news.
Walk the streets.
Drive your car and see nothing.
But equals.
Delight and the wonder to which I'm pointing.
We have to remind ourselves.
To forget this.
To turn our eyes and our ears and our senses away from the marvelous.
From the awesome.
From the wonder.
That always exists.
Permeates every cell.
Then we've given them power.
It's as simple as that.
Or it can be.
First steps.
To simply stay in the wonder.
To turn back.
To the wonder.
The delight.
That's your challenge this week.
Find it again.
Pick up the brush.
Take hold of the pencil.
Grab the colors.
And delight.
I no longer lean towards the monotheistic ideal of Christianity in which I was raised.
Though I can credit it with giving me a good foundation from which to see what religion is.
What spirituality is.
What belief is.
What trust and faith can be.
And with these tools that I've built over the years,
Including that foundation in Catholicism,
I've reframed my spiritual,
Energetic understanding of myself in this human world.
In this natural world.
The quote this week struck me first in that little girl head of mine whose first image of God was the patriarchy in the clouds.
But very quickly,
I found myself writing it down.
Holding it close.
Taking it up as a thought mantra for my time in the studio.
Because you see,
I see humanity as co-creators.
We're part and parcel,
Energetically entwined with that first creative power that we've given the name God.
So to take this quote and make it a mantra,
As I do my little part to make beauty,
To inspire positivity,
To uplift growth.
This is the place to which this quote lands.
Some of us have always wanted God to steal us.
Some of us have always wanted God to steal us.
Today.
This week.
