Momentum Do you feel it?
Or is it just me,
In my own one life here?
Momentum It hasn't been a continuous continuum,
But momentum has definitely been a theme through these first weeks of this 2026 one year.
Many things have changed.
My personal life has gone through things I could kind of see coming,
But wow,
Here they are.
These occurrences,
These shifts,
These changes,
They're all life.
They happen.
Whether this is a one year,
A seven year,
A two year,
They're life.
I'd be falsifying my own beliefs if I told you we had control over everything.
We're one among many.
We have control of so much.
But we do not control others.
And this is where life,
Those unique idiosyncrasies that make a life your life,
Happen.
And we have to flow.
We have to accept.
Well,
I'll take that back.
We don't have to anything.
That's choice.
But it serves us well if we do.
Choose flow.
Choose patience.
Choose compassion.
This opens one's eyes to curiosity.
Curiosity lends its hand to acceptance.
And a great ability to be open to how those idiosyncratic,
Unique things of your life are actually answers to your deepest prayers.
Momentum.
We're cresting the top of the roller coaster of this year.
Halfway.
Or nearly there.
Where do you find yourself?
Take a moment.
Sit back and reflect over the past 25 weeks.
What a ride.
What a journey.
And oh my goodness,
This is only one year!
The rear view is showing you so much.
Beauty.
Evolution.
Twists and turns.
Creation.
Destruction.
But here's a secret.
Destruction is creation too.
The rear view of these 25 weeks is replete with beauty.
Don't deny it,
Even if you're in a painful moment or a hard-learned lesson.
These weeks are replete with beauty.
Some,
Your hand has created.
The mark on your canvas once,
Twice,
Or dozens of times is your signature word across this life thus far.
Some has been created by nature.
The rhythm and flow of this world,
This system,
Setting life aglow once again.
And some,
Don't deny it,
Some beauty has been created by others.
Others close to you and others distant.
Here's a challenge.
Some of that beauty may be in the pain,
May be in the disharmony,
May be in the discord.
That's not to suggest that those things are beauty.
But that beauty is in there.
Beauty is therein.
For it's what we do with it,
The translation that blooms.
Notice these things for yourself,
Your personal life,
The relationships,
The lessons.
Notice them for yourself in your rear view mirror and do two things.
Give thanks.
Be gracious.
And let them be beautiful.
