Do you find yourself trying to rationalize a desire, Or make practical a passion? Then this little meditation is for you. Awaken Creative, Day 30. Did you know, Or have you considered, That you only ask for what you have already begun to experience? I mean, Otherwise, It would never occur to you to ask for it in the first place. What if that desire, Or passion, That starts sparking in your gut? What if it already exists, That thing that is that spark? Richard Rohr has said that true prayer is always seconding the motion, Which, Of course, For him, As a Catholic priest, This motion always comes from God, So we are seconding a God motion. And if you let me get even a little more biblical on you, It's that ask and you will receive, Seek and you'll find, Knock and it will be opened to you. When you ask and receive, It is because it's already there. As you seek, You find, Because your seeking is in the direction of a passion that wants to be found. When you come to knock, It is because the door is there to be opened. Trust. Trust that this passion is there to empower you. It's pre-existent, And it's your turn to take action and meet it there.
