AwakenCreative: Day 19 A 40-day Journey Of Self-Discovery

Walking through the desert, the dark night of the soul, happens to everyone. When you can see it is a journey to discovery, not desolation, you can manifest your best self into the world more wholly and beautifully. As an artist, this can change the fabric of your self-expression in the most dynamic and engaging ways. Let's begin the walk with eyes wide open!

Your ears shall hear a word behind you saying this is the way,

Walk in it.

This quote from the Bible,

Isaiah 30,

21 sits next to me as I do my awakening each morning.

The sky is still dark,

Cars begin to make their way to early work,

This quote,

Awaken in creative.

Day 19 of this 40 day journey in the desert has me thinking about that still small voice and this quote from Isaiah is something of that.

Our journey of awakening in creative,

Being associated to the 40 days of Jesus in the desert is to suggest a few things.

First,

The journey of it.

Second,

The awakening of it.

And third,

The aloneness of it.

But in that aloneness,

As is the case in this quote from Isaiah,

We're never alone.

Always that still small voice.

You needn't give it a man-made title.

It can simply be a presence.

Whether God,

Divine,

Intuition,

Spirit,

No matter.

It exists for you,

For me,

For everyone.

And not just in this desert.

Not only when we are desperately seeking our earnestly awakening.

Always.

I believe that when we can hear it in those always moments of every day,

When we can take that extra deep breath and remind ourselves it's there,

That we spend less time in these deserts.

In these places where overwhelm and burnout have brought us to our knees.

Because in these incremental spots along our everyday journeys,

When we take that extra breath and recall the beautiful voice behind us saying,

This is the way.

Then we're nudged gently,

Always by our own unique,

Individual,

Intuitive spirit.

And we stay true.

So today,

Once again,

Take the opportunity to take the breath,

Ignite the spirit,

And awaken,

Create it.
