Intent on awakening that creative in us,
In you,
In me.
It's one thing to awaken the creative.
It's another to carry it into the world on that day 40.
Today,
Let's envision what that might look like.
Close your eyes.
Breathe the morning crisp,
Dry air of this desert plain.
We've begun to take notice of things below this seemingly barren landscape,
Seeds pushing up the soil,
Cracking the dry surface,
Hidden behind rocks,
Small living things beginning to emerge.
You've traveled into your core,
Noticing again that flicker,
That flame,
Or maybe just the smoking swirl of your divine spark.
Here in this desert,
This time of discovery and rebirth,
Lessons are learned,
Insights are gleaned,
Tests are handed out and passed.
Here in the desert,
Whether a chosen visit or a forced exile,
We're here with purpose.
We've made the choice to come away better than the way we entered.
What will that look like,
That coming away?
The brush I hold in my hand,
The tools of my journey and reemergence,
Have more color.
Perhaps not bolder,
But definitely stronger.
The will behind the placing of those bristles onto surface,
Fortified.
As I place the brush,
I see someone there,
A face,
A new face,
With intrigue,
Delightful expectation,
Watching,
Anticipating what might come.
This new face,
This one I've not seen before,
Is there.
All that time of loneliness,
Of aloneness,
Wasn't the full picture.
Alonely,
Aloneness can be lonely,
But when we can remind ourselves that once this time has passed,
We've taken in the lessons and the journeying,
This aloneness is a capacity for new to enter.
This new face,
These fresh colors,
Delightful opportunity,
What do you anticipate awaiting your return when you finish your 40 days in the desert?
Awaken Creative.
