Awaken Creative.
Day 17.
This 40 day journey is a mirror,
If you will,
Of the 40 days in the desert.
40 is an important number in a lot of religions and practices.
We're using it here as a framework to explore a greater creative awakening day by day and setting the mental and heart intuitions all together in integrity towards that creative beginning.
The desert is a very real place.
What I'm speaking to here is an internal desert.
It's where you've gone barren.
Landscape looks bleak.
Whether it's something that's happened,
Circumstances of your life,
Overwhelm,
Burnout,
Remorse,
Desolation.
We all face it at some point.
Perhaps many.
The beauty is that this desert,
The actual desert,
As well as this interior desert to which I'm talking,
Is never truly barren.
If we are patient,
If we spend time in that dance,
If we go quiet and let miracles happen,
Then the revelation of life teeming just below the surface is there.
We start to see it in those tiny first buds.
Perhaps not even that,
But the cracking of the surface because that happens.
This seed,
This tiny seed of inflamed will,
Inspiration,
May appear so small,
Insignificant,
But it has intense power because that tiny seed,
While thought non-existent,
Has suddenly cracked the surface of this desolate,
Hard,
Impregnable earth.
This interior desert is composed of the earth of your thoughts,
Of that tiny seed.
Noxious voice teeming in your brain,
Telling you it's over,
It's done,
It's wasted,
It's dead.
That tiny seed says otherwise.
It says,
Let's awaken once again.
Let's grow once again.
The miracle is in it because rather than what you expect or what you attempt to plan and orchestrate,
It's never what appears.
And yet,
The beautiful bloom that comes from that tiny,
Willful seed ends up being more beautiful than any composition you could have written in your hand alone.
So today again,
Do the dance.
Pull down the sky.
Pull up the earth.
And do your part in pushing out your unique,
Creative awakening.
