Klaas Stuive MCM (1952), Pandit, Grand Grand Master in Yoga, writer, Haiku poet and practicing philosopher, was 37-year police officer with the Utrecht Police Department in various leadership positions. Within the police he gained national fame for his creative solutions to difficult security issues and organizational problems. After his career with the police he became self-employed and held the position of manager partner and senior advisor at In-pact BV and In-pact Professionalization BV. Both BVs are active in the field of police and security. In December 2001 he obtained cum laude his Masterdegree, in the field of Change Management (MCM). He is founder, chairman and head teacher at the Academy of Raja Yoga Netherlands (SRYN). This academy (formerly a foundation) was originally founded in May 1992 founded by a group of police officers, who had become enthusiastic about the effects of Yoga for the well-being of people and society. He was also founder and for over 17 years president of the association Samenwerkende Yogadocenten Nederland (SYN), officially founded in May 2003; a branch organization for Yoga teachers with the aim of protecting the quality of classical Yoga.
