Nina Rao learned traditional chants (bhajans) from her grandfather in a village in south India when she was nine years old. The chants quietly stayed with her until she rediscovered chanting with Krishna Das in New York in 1996. Nina tours with Krishna Das, playing cymbals and singing with him.

Three words that arose in my heart as I chanted this new mantra… harmony, gratitude and deep love. I felt the flow of this mantra as a river within me, gathering and combing all nadis into peaceful strands. A peace filled reunion… the reunion of Sita and Rama within.
