Inner-child work is the process of connecting with the parts of yourself that carries childhood wounding, nurturing them, and allowing the emotions that have been stored within your tissue to fully integrate. In this visualization meditation, we'll go into infancy and re-parent ourselves with an experience of love and trust.

Welcome.

Please come to a comfortable seated position.

Sit with your spine supported by something,

Whether it's a wall or a chair,

Whatever is comfortable for you.

Invite your body to soften into your support.

Relax your shoulders away from your ears.

Soften your arms and your lap.

And relax your face.

Close your eyes and allow your eyes to sink back in their sockets slightly.

And come into your heart.

I want you to repeat to yourself,

I am safe in this body.

I am safe in this body.

I am safe in this body.

I am safe in this body.

I am safe in this body.

I am safe in this body.

And then take your heart in your arms,

Holding it gently.

And wrap it in green light so that it's swaddled and wrapped up tight.

Imagine cradling your heart as though it was a newborn baby.

Gaze down at it so it was the most beautiful thing you'd ever seen in your entire life.

Hold it with the safety of your embrace,

The gentleness of your touch.

And know that it is safe.

And then take your breath out and relax.

Imagine caring for it as though you were caring for an infant.

And then take your breath out and relax.

And then take your breath out and relax.

Imagine caring for it as though you were caring for an infant.

Taking your time to be with it,

To love it,

And to nurture its every need.

And let that green light flow around it,

Holding it,

And radiating out to touch everything around you.

And imagine a loved one coming into your visualization.

And imagine passing them your swaddled heart,

Gently placing it in their hands.

Watch them hold it and love it.

Gaze at it as though it was the most beautiful thing they'd ever seen.

Watch as they cradle it,

Rock it side to side.

And know that it is safe.

And when they have spent their time with it,

Loving and nurturing it in their way,

Witness them hand it back to you with absolute love,

Knowing that it's yours and it must always return to you.

And witness other loved friends and family come into your visualization.

And feel the safety of passing it just like a newborn baby being admired and loved from person to person.

As each one of them shares their love,

Their attention,

And spends time connecting to your heart,

And then returns it to you with love and adoration.

Hold it in your arms again,

Wrapped in green light.

Draw it close to you.

Allow it to sink back into the very center of your chest.

Energized by your love and the love of others,

Your friends,

Family,

The loved members of your community.

Let its light get more brilliant.

Let it shine brighter.

Until it radiates light out of your body,

The front,

The back,

Both sides.

Let it fill the air around you,

Sheds light on all the dark areas of your body and the dark areas of your room and environment.

Sit this energy,

Feel the love emanating from your very center.

Let it shine brighter.

Let it shine brighter.
