In this practice,
You'll be guided to connect in with your breath,
Your body.
And to rest deeply.
Allowing the Nidra and the Reiki to support you in whatever you need.
Know that this is a practice of not doing.
This is a space where you do not have to do anything.
If you drop in and out of sleep know that that is okay whatever your experience know that it is welcome here,
You are welcome here.
All parts of you are welcome here.
Finding your preferred position.
Lying down with as much comfort as possible,
Maybe placing pillows underneath the knees.
An eye pillow or light scarf across the eyes.
A warm blanket over the body.
Whenever you are ready,
Softening your gaze or closing your eyes.
Reiki is being channeled throughout this practice.
Supporting you in whatever you need.
So let's begin with settling.
Feeling the body resting on the supports beneath you.
What does it feel like to be horizontal?
Checking in with how it feels to be resting your head.
Being supported here.
Awareness floating along the back of your body.
Feeling the back of your body resting on the supports beneath you.
Backs of the arms,
Hands the back of the torso,
The buttocks.
.
.
The backs of the legs.
The heels,
Knowing your whole body here is supported.
Supported by the surface that you are resting on.
Supported by the foundations.
Of the building that you are in,
Supported by the Earth.
You are howled.
By the urn.
Making any physical adjustments to find a little bit more comfort here for your practice.
I might be adjusting the space between the legs.
Bringing them a bit closer or a little bit further apart.
The hands,
Does it feel more comfortable to have the hands resting on your body?
Maybe one hand on the chest,
One hand on the belly.
Or having them beside your body.
Or even further apart.
Connecting in with your body breathing its own natural rhythm.
Awareness catching the wave of each inhale.
And each exhale.
Experiencing what it feels like for the breath to flow in.
And the breath to flow out.
Allowing your body to breathe its own natural rhythm.
As your body surrenders to the supports beneath.
Feeling heavy?
Held.
As your awareness rests on the breath.
Bringing your attention to the crown of your head.
On the next exhale awareness flows down the length of your body all the way to the soles of your feet.
As you inhale,
Awareness flows up your body from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head.
Continue breathing in this way.
Exhaling,
Awareness floats along the length of your body from the head to the soles of your feet.
As you inhale,
Awareness floats from the soles of your feet,
All along your body.
To the crown,
The very top of your head.
Breathing at your own pace.
And settling into the heart space when you are ready.
Resting your attention.
The heart space behind the breastbone in the centre of your chest.
Feeling your body breathe Resting awareness at the heart space.
Allowing the Reiki to support you.
Bring your awareness to the crown of your head.
Letting go is the breath.
And as we explore the landscape of the body,
Inviting Reiki energy to any area of your body.
Where you feel anything stagnant or held,
Anything stale?
Anything you'd like some support to let go of.
Awareness floats along your body to each of the different points you can feel into that part of your body.
You can invite Reiki to that part of your body.
Or you can just allow the experience to unfold.
