COURSE
With Zuzana Robertson, Psychologist
Burnout is not laziness. It is not weakness. It is not a personal failing. It is what happens when a nervous system that has been running on empty for too long finally stops being able to pretend otherwise. When the body that has been overriding its own signals — the exhaustion, the numbness, the creeping sense that nothing means anything anymore — can no longer do so. Burnout has stages. It has a physiology. It has a psychology. And it has a recovery — one that cannot be rushed, cannot be forced, and cannot be achieved by simply trying harder. This course was designed by an occupational psychologist and hypnotherapist with seventeen years of experience working with people and organisations under pressure. Burnout and its recovery are among her specialist areas — not as a clinical condition to be treated but as a human experience to be understood, honoured, and gently reversed. Across six modules, you will move through the complete arc of burnout recovery. Recognition — finally seeing what has happened without shame. Permission to rest — the hardest and most necessary stage. Nervous system repair — the body beginning to remember what regulated feels like. Emotional processing — meeting what burnout has been covering. Identity rebuilding — discovering who you are when you are not defined by your productivity. And return to aliveness — the quiet, extraordinary experience of wanting things again. Each module combines a short psychological teaching with a guided meditation and an original music track composed in the Himalayan and Zen tradition — specifically chosen because the nervous system in burnout needs the oldest, quietest, most undemanding sounds available. No effort required. No performance. No pushing through. Simply the permission, finally — to stop.
