This course will introduce you to the practice of mantra meditation - the use of a spoken syllable, phrase, or short prayer as a point of mindful focus. This is a unique approach to meditation as it adds another element (our voice) to the session, which is perfect for those of us with busy minds wanting assistance focusing on the present moment or with calming anxiety and anger. Beginners will find the approach easy to begin and super accessible and experienced meditators will discover a new way to approach the present moment. Each session will introduce you to a new mantra and way to use it to practice, as well as discuss the philosophical and spiritual implications of the words and the reasons behind how and why it will benefit your journey. By the end of this course, you will have a collection of mantras and associated practices to use as a part of your daily meditation sessions, or in response to life stress and challenges. I look forward to seeing you in the first session!
