Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) is a science-supported practice that helps calm the nervous system, release tension, and restore focus and emotional balance, ideal for evenings, insomnia-prone nights, or daytime recovery. You’ll learn how NSDR supports the brain and body (brain waves, stress hormones, emotional regulation) and how to use deep rest to feel clearer, steadier, and more restored. Module 1: The science of deep rest + a soothing bilateral awareness practice for calm the mind. Module 2: A colour-flow meditation to reduce emotional intensity, and support nervous-system balance. Perfect for: stress • anxiety • emotional overwhelm • sensory overload • sleep support • focus + clarity. Each module ends with music to help you stay in that restorative state a little longer.


Meet your Teacher

Sandhya Coyle is a yoga, meditation, and sound practitioner dedicated to creating calm, trauma-informed spaces for rest and emotional balance. Her work blends mindfulness, gentle movement, and neuroscience-based relaxation techniques to support individuals experiencing overwhelm, anxiety, or ADHD. Drawing on years of teaching yoga, Pilates, and guided meditation, Sandhya specialises in accessible, heart-centered practices that help people reconnect with stillness, regulate their nervous systems, and restore inner focus.

NSDR - The Science Of Non Sleep Deep Rest

Discover how science and stillness come together. You’ll learn the science behind how Non-Sleep Deep Rest helps the mind slow, the body soften, and the nervous system find equilibrium then the last 15 minutes we will finish with a calming NSDR practice where Sandhya gently guides you into deep relaxation. This session eases overwhelm, restores focus, and teaches your body how to rest without effort. An invitation to pause, reset, and experience calm from the inside out.

Lesson 2

NSDR For Emotional Balance, Settling The Mind For Sleep

Building on what you learned in Module 1, this session explores the science of how sensing internal sensations which can help regulate emotions and soothe the mind, helping to aid a more restful nights sleep. You’ll discover why beginning at the feet promotes grounding and safety, then be guided through a gentle colour-flow meditation, imagining light moving upward through the body to create coherence and calm. The session ends with NSDR practice to support continued rest and integration.
