Break The Reactivity Cycle - by Courtney Johannesen

COURSE

Break The Reactivity Cycle

With Courtney Johannesen

Parenting is hard. And sometimes, despite your best intentions, you react in ways you later regret. You yell, you shut down, or you feel completely hijacked by frustration, and the guilt follows. This is a practical course for overwhelmed parents who want to understand why they react the way they do, learn to regulate their nervous system in the moment, and repair connection with their children when reactions happen. You’ll explore why reactivity is driven by your nervous system, not your love or discipline; how hidden triggers from past experiences influence your parenting today; simple, actionable tools to regulate before you react, even in high-stress moments; and compassionate repair strategies to reconnect after reactive moments and model emotional resilience for your children. This course is for parents who want to: respond instead of react, even when they’re stressed or sleep-deprived; understand their emotional triggers and nervous system patterns; reduce guilt and shame after moments of reactivity; and build calm, intentional, and connected parenting practices. You don’t need to be perfect. You need to understand yourself, regulate your nervous system, and practice repair. This course gives you the guidance, awareness, and strategies to do exactly that, so your parenting feels less reactive and more connected.
