There is so much to learn about meditation and so many ways to do it that it can feel overwhelming. Plus, how do you know if you’re getting anything out of the time you’re putting in? That’s important! This program is designed to be simple and to-the-point. You’ll learn how to get into the practice, through the practice, complete a practice, and feel good about your practice. You’ll learn the set-up, simple breathing, how to deal with distractions, and the many benefits you’ll experience through consistent practice.


Meet your Teacher

Julie Konrad is a certified yoga instructor and ayurvedic health counselor through the Himalayan Institute and a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). She's been an active yoga and meditation teacher for over 20 years for students of all ages and levels of experience. Julie is known for making ancient practices accessible through practical applications.

Lesson 1

Where To Start

In this session, I'll answer common questions new meditators often ask such as; where should I meditate? How exactly do I sit for meditation? Is there a particular time that is best to sit? And, how long should I sit in meditation?

Lesson 2

How To Breathe

In this session, you'll learn about the breath and it's role in meditation. You'll also discover how to "find" and recognize your natural breath, and have the opportunity to try the box breathing technique.

Lesson 3

Dealing With Distractions

In this session, you'll learn why distractions are an important part of your meditation journey, as well as, some tips and tricks to help move past them so they don't end up sabotaging your progress! A short meditation practice is also included.

Lesson 4

Am I Doing It Right?

In this session, you'll learn how to know if you're doing meditation "right" and the signs that your practice is working! You'll have the opportunity to think about and explore your expectations for your personal practice with an invitation to spend time journaling afterwards.

Lesson 5

Putting It All Together

In this final session, you'll have the opportunity to incorporate everything you've learned to move forward feeling confident and excited about your personal meditation practice.
