Music For A Busy Head Volume 3
I've spent some time in the Cycladic Islands of the Aegean Sea recently. This album was inspired by visits to the temples of Apollo ( the god of healing and music, amongst other things) and near my occasional home, A temple to Asclepios, the demi-god of medicine and a son of Apollo. Asclepios came before Hippocrates in the deity order. At the healing spas and temples that were built in his name, they induced and interpreted dreams to diagnose a patient's condition. Healing was prescribed through rest, through immersion in nature, through the enchantments of the Lyre, and with remedies and potions of which we know only the vaguest detail. This album is made in my own language and to my own musical taste but it is heavily influenced by the journey of learning that is my relationship with The South Aegean region and Greek Culture.
