The mantra 'Om' is a vibration that represents the primordial sound of the universe. The vibration of the universe, that NASA calculated and published, is very similar to Om. In the Bible, it is written that the origin of everything 'was the Word', that God created the universe through sound. This is the same as what the Vedas say, and in Vedic culture, this primordial sound is precisely Om. Om is a bija mantra (seed mantra), meaning that it is composed of a single sound that contains all its power. It is repeated with a deep inhalation, and you must give ample space to the final vibration, which should be long, as you will hear in the recording. It should be repeated at least 3 times and in multiples of 3 (6, 9, 12…). You could also do one round of the mala (108 repetitions). Ideally, it should be repeated early in the morning. It is also commonly used at the start of activities such as a class or meditation to help center ourselves and connect with the Divine.
