Like A River Over Us

How do we know that time has passed? Is it moving slow or fast? 
I can see the plants have grown and how our house became a home
. The moon changes every night, moving from the dark to light. 
I can feel it in my womb. I can see it from our bedroom
. Passing like a river over us, spreading out like roots below us, but now is where we exist and now is all there is. 
My own hands are looking older with each year gone I’m feeling bolder. 
Learning who I really am, underneath all the programs.
