I want to invite you to get into a comfortable position either sitting with your legs crossed in a chair lying down or walking if that feels better for you so today I'm going to be taking you through a 10-minute visualization meditation to focus on creating space and a vision for our future selves when we're thinking about our future when we're thinking about the life that we want to create when we're thinking about the person that we want to become we have to be able to create space for it we have to be able to see it to feel it to visualize it so in this meditation we are going to really focus on the feeling of the person that you are working on becoming so let's start with some breath work here as we get comfortable as we relax our nervous system as we relax our body and quiet our mind let's start with a nice deep inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth again inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth again deep inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth now breathing on your own finding a flow of your breath allowing your body to become heavy allowing your thoughts to disappear I want you to visualize yourself in front of a mirror looking at yourself looking at the person that you'll become in five years present self looking into future self what is your future self look like what are they wearing what type of emotion do they have on their face are they happy are they excited about life do they feel fulfilled really focus on connecting with this person really examining their body language if this person in the mirror were to speak to you what would they tell you about their daily routine what does that look like for them what's the first thing they're doing in the morning when they wake up really listen as your future self explains what their day looks like the type of people that they're around maybe the car that they're driving the food that they're eating the hobbies or activities that they're partaking in now I want you to picture yourself stepping into the mirror allowing your body to become one with your reflection stepping into this future life embodying the person who is just explaining their lifestyle I want you to feel their emotions I want you to feel what it's like to be in their position in their career and their relationship and their physical body as we step into this future self I want you to go about the day that this future version of yourself was painting how does it feel to go through that routine how does it feel to start that job feel it really picture yourself going about your day feeling accomplished feeling satisfied with life feeling like all your hard work finally paid off what does the feeling of satisfaction sound like what are the sounds around you in your new life what are the conversations like the music the environment what are the sounds maybe you're living in a home surrounded by nature by trees whistling maybe you're in a home surrounded by the ocean hearing the waves crashing or the seagulls flying over your head feel it hear it now I want us to walk back to the mirror still embodying our future self walking back to the mirror standing in front of it and now I want the reflection of your current present body to come into the mirror looking back at your past looking back at the person that you were looking at how far you've come realizing the challenges that you faced realizing that all of the tests the trials the moments when you thought you would never get past it are now behind you and now just serve as a reflection I want you to reach in with your hand towards the mirror and say to your past self I am so proud of you coming back into your body at this moment take a nice deep breath in exhale again inhale exhale finding an appreciation for where you are today and where you're going finding joy in the life that you are creating having patience with yourself knowing that the future version of yourself is just waiting for you on the other side of the mirror thank you so much for joining me in this meditation today I want to invite you to journal about your future self your future life get descriptive get clear get specific about some of the things that you visualize today maybe create a mood board a vision board adding some of those things onto your board thank you so much again I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day
