This course will support you to practice and build the habit to make time to relax and customize a plan to love the food you eat for overall health and wellness in Body, Mind and Spirit.


Meet your Teacher

As a certified holistic health and wellness coach, Marie Castello is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space for women to develop simple, natural solutions to decrease sugar cravings, increase energy and improve sleep. In the midst of her own health challenges, Marie became determined to master a lifestyle to holistically eliminate head and body aches, improve sleep and increase energy. The customized approach she takes with each client is life changing and supports them to develop simple daily habits that are easy to maintain. A year after her youngest son was born she attended her first yoga class. The fluidity, beauty and meditative qualities captured her heart. She quickly immersed herself in a training to deepen her own personal practice. Little did she know the universe had other plans that blossomed into a lifetime of learning and teaching. Marie has studied with many renowned teachers in Tokyo, London and the USA including Gurmukh. Marie teaches Chakra Yoga Flow, Yin Yoga and Kundalini. Her classes focus on setting an intention for the body, mind, spirit connection, linked with peaceful music and a calming energy. With her love for learning she continues her yoga education and is proud to be a part of Yoga Renew, Yoga Alliance, International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Alliance and 3HO. With over 20 years of practicing and studying meditation with masters like Deepak Chopra, Marie has published her own meditations on Insight Timer. She believes the foundation to experiencing peace of mind, true joy and happiness is in the daily practice of meditation. Marie strives to bring yoga and meditation into everyday life by truly living it. She is on a journey to allow peace and joy to flourish within and spreading it to others.

What Does Eating For Energy Mean

There is more to a healthy diet than just the food you put into your body. Maybe by simply changing your diet it may not be enough to help you feel full of energy and happy and healthy. For example: you can eat brown rice and kale every day and go to the gym every evening, but if you’re stuck in an unfulfilling job or a toxic relationship, then you’re just not going to feel truly healthy and happy on a deeper level. That’s one of the core concepts of Primary Foods. The best energizing foods are those that are rich in complex carbohydrates, protein, antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other health-promoting substances. Put these foods together along with small amounts of healthy fats for a balanced diet that is sure to provide you energy all day long.

Crowding Out

With the proper balance of vitamins and minerals you will not crave dairy, meat or sweets. 
It may sound crazy, but in time you’ll find that by adding more plant-based foods, you automatically crowd out dairy and meat without feeling deprived and reduce your sugar cravings resulting in more natural energy, improved sleep and an uplifted mood.

More Vegetables Please

Vegetables are nutritionally rich – so fill your plate with more vegetables! Go for many colors, choosing dark leafy greens as much as possible. Go for local and organic when possible and stick to vegetables in season in your region.
