Hello!
Let's talk about Tai Chi Chuan,
Which is a Chinese martial art.
But not many people know that it's a martial art.
Why?
Because the movements are so slow and so soft,
And you think,
Hmm,
How can you fight that way?
Well,
Tai Chi Chuan is a very unique martial art.
It integrates the Chinese traditional medicine with Chinese culture and philosophy,
The philosophy of Yin and Yang,
The Tai Chi principle,
Which is the perfect harmony between Yin and Yang.
We apply this principle in our body in order to cultivate our Qi,
Our inner energy,
And to generate our inner power,
The power that integrates our whole body,
That connects our center with our extremity,
With our inner channels of energy through the spiral movements,
Very circular,
Spiral,
Soft movements.
And we integrate our mind,
Our breath and our body through our inner flow.
The inner rhythm.
So it's very important for us to feel what's happening inside our body,
Not only the external movements.
So it's a mindful training.
We connect to our Tantien,
Which is the center of gravity,
The center of energy under our navel,
And we make our whole body to respond to our center.
So it's an inner practice,
An inner cultivation.
That's why it's called an inner martial art.
And we have some styles of Tai Chi Quan.
We have the Chen style,
Which is the most martial one,
Because it integrates the slow movement with fast movements,
The soft movements or powerful movements.
And we have also the Yan style,
Which is more open and soft.
We have the Pailin style.
Tai Chi Pailin is based on Qi Kong,
Which is the cultivation of our Qi,
Our inner energy.
It's based mostly on Chinese medicine.
Tai Chi Chuan is a very beneficial exercise for our health and it's good for all ages,
No matter if you're a kid or if you're old-aged.
