Good morning and welcome to your self-love meditation.
I'm Gloria Mraza and I'm so happy you chose to spend this time with me this morning,
Because the way we start our mornings really sets the tone for the rest of the day.
And experiencing and practicing more self-love has the potential to impact virtually every area of your life.
Because if we don't allow ourselves to express the natural love and compassion we all have for ourselves,
Even if we have temporarily forgotten it,
Then love in all its other forms doesn't reveal its beauty very often throughout each day of our lives.
So with that being said,
Let's begin.
Get into a nice,
Relaxing position,
Removing any distractions for the next few minutes,
And then we take the very first action of self-love right now.
We're taking some nice,
Deep,
Nourishing breaths.
We'll be taking in five full and deep breaths together,
Holding each breath for a moment at the top and then naturally exhaling.
So let's begin by inhaling a nice,
Big breath,
Expanding your belly and lungs as much as you can,
And hold it.
And exhale gently with relief.
Inhaling fresh,
Life-giving oxygen,
Holding it to soak it in,
And exhaling without any effort.
Inhale feeling rejuvenated by this breathing.
Hold it,
And exhale easily.
Inhale noticing how breathing fully comes naturally for you,
Pausing to soak it in,
And exhale any tension or worry.
And last one,
Inhaling fully as an act of self-love,
Pausing to feel its love,
And exhale into complete relaxation.
Now continue breathing deeply.
Let your breath flow at a pace without any effort from you now.
Deep breathing is a beautiful and very simple way to show yourself some love and care.
It increases the supply of oxygen to your brain,
And it also stimulates your rest and digest system.
So by breathing deeply,
You're asking your body to rest,
Which relaxes and rejuvenates all of you.
And this is self-love in its simplest form that anyone can do at any time of the day.
Now bring your attention to how your body feels right now,
With full acceptance of whatever is present.
Notice where your body is touching the ground,
And begin to feel the pulsing energy of the earth beneath you,
The heartbeat of Mother Earth.
And with an inhale,
Breathe in gratitude and love for all she gives us.
Continue taking deep breaths,
Feeling your heartbeat,
Your unique beautiful rhythm.
And breathe deeply from your heart as you open to the sensation of love within you.
And feel the pulsing energy of this love.
And vision this love as a green light glowing inside your heart center.
Breathing deeply,
See and feel this light getting brighter with each breath,
Until it fills up your whole body and surrounds you.
In a globe of green light around your whole body.
And know that you're not responsible for keeping this light glowing.
What's happening with or without you,
You're simply being present for it now.
With your next exhale,
Think of someone you know who's facing a challenging time in their life right now.
See this person right in front of you.
While remaining connected with the love in your heart,
That green glowing light,
Allow yourself to feel compassion for this person's struggle.
As you breathe slowly and deeply,
Honoring their unique journey.
And now see and feel the light in their heart as the same loving light that is within yours.
And as you offer your love and compassion to this person,
Feel the light in both of your hearts growing bigger and brighter together.
And now with an inhale,
Focus your attention back to your heart space.
Feel the light grow brighter as you allow the love from your heart to nourish any parts of you that have been in pain.
Feel the light and warmth of this green light,
Like sunlight that shines in you and warms you.
Regardless of what you have or haven't done,
Open to feeling compassion for yourself as you breathe the light of your love into the places where you have kept fear,
Grief,
Anger,
Stress or insecurity.
Be open to feeling nourished by this love within.
And now for yourself acknowledgement and respect for everything you are,
How far you've come,
For the incredible beauty and power within you.
I invite you to repeat after me out loud or silently in your mind.
I am enough.
I am kind to myself.
I love my body and all it does for me every day.
I treat my body with love and care.
It's safe for me to trust my intuition.
It's safe for me to respect my own boundaries.
I am worthy,
I'm deserving and I am loved.
I am beautiful inside and out.
I let go of negative self-talk.
I am whole.
I accept myself unconditionally.
I make time to care for myself.
Loving myself comes easily and naturally.
I am growing each and every day.
I forgive myself and I learn from my mistakes.
I am exactly who I need to be in this moment.
I let go of that which no longer serves me.
I release any need for suffering.
Today I start loving myself even more.
I let love in.
Love flows freely from inside of me.
I am love.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Now gently opening your eyes.
Take another fresh breath and know that you can choose self-love whenever you desire.
