Welcome to this summer solstice meditation.
Where you'll be guided.
On a wonderful magical journey.
To Stonehenge.
Make yourself comfortable.
Finding somewhere to sit down.
Or to LiDAR.
Whatever feels right for you.
Then allow your eyes to close.
And bring awareness to your body.
Maybe you can loosen off your shoulder.
And ask your arms and legs.
To soften and release.
And then in your own time,
Take three deep breaths.
Calming breath.
To settle into this space,
This moment.
And to prepare you.
For the journey ahead.
Imagine now that you're standing barefoot on the cool,
Damp grass.
Of soul's boucle.
It's the twilight just before dawn.
On this Midsummer's Day.
You might imagine you're there as yourself now.
Or maybe you drift to the idea of a past lifetime.
Or days gone by.
This ancient monument.
Has been here.
For solar.
Seeing many sunrises and sunsets.
Connect to that sense of history.
In ancient tradition.
Of the ancestors.
As you ground yourself on that damp grass beneath your feet.
Become aware of the towering ancient sarsen stones surrounding you.
Silent and heavy.
It's still quite dark but you know that the sun will soon be rising.
And as you absorb the sense of peace.
Calm and tranquility around you.
You now notice the sky beginning to change.
From Dee Pindiga.
To soft violet.
And slate grey.
Feel the cool morning mist on your skin.
As you now notice other colours filling the sky maybe.
Yellows or reds.
Marvel at the wonder.
And the quiet hush of anticipation.
Do you notice the scent of the dew-soaked earth?
The gentle crisp morning breeze brushing against your skin.
What do you notice?
As the light begins to spread.
The stones.
Standing clear against the sky.
Focus your attention.
To the heel stone,
The stone where the sun will soon shine through.
As the very first sliver of golden midsummer sun peeks over the horizon.
Watch.
As the sun rises precisely.
Between those monumental stones.
Do you notice that they cast long dramatic shadows?
And bathe both you and the circle.
In healing amber light.
Do you feel the sun on your skin?
Do you feel a deep pulsing energy?
Rising up through the soles of your feet.
From the ancient ley lines.
Beneath this plate.
Beneath the stone.
Beneath your feet.
Spend a few moments.
Grounded.
Peaceful.
And if it feels right to you.
You could turn your palms forward.
To better absorb the warmth of the solstice sun.
You also feel that sunlight entering your chest and your solar plexus,
Your own internal sun.
As it sparks a sense of joy and gratitude.
Be aware of this blend of cosmic sunlight and grounding earth energy swirling together,
Clearing away any stagnation in your body or your mind.
And filling every cell.
I'll give you a few minutes now of silence.

Gratitude to Mother Earth.
That supports everything on this planet.
And as you feel this sense of gratitude.
I wonder if the stones begin to speak to you.
Silently.
Is there a message that these stones have for you today?
A message of wisdom.
That you can absorb.
Along with the energy.
And now the sun is in the sky.
And it's soon time to return from this place.
Yet you will bring.
Everything you've learned.
And that's Sensu.
Rejuvenation.
With you.
Into the rest of your day.
This place.
Now exists within you,
In your mind.
As does the connection you've experienced today.
So thanking the stones and the sun and the earth one more time.
You turn and you walk away.
From this beautiful monument.
So mysterious.
And grey.
And as you walk away.
You begin to bring yourself back.
To this moment in time.
In the modern day.
Wherever you're sitting to relax.
Or wherever you're lying back.
Gently bring your awareness to your actual physical body.
Take some invigorating breaths.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Then in your own time when you're ready.
Open those eyes.
Feeling positive.
Refresh.
Calm.
Invigorated.
And a tea.
