Lorin's teachings are permeated with naturalness, spontaneity, and good humor, based in the insight that meditation is an instinctive human superpower, and we all have access to it. By some miracle, Lorin was introduced to the tantra tradition of meditation at age 18, way back in 1968, and it was love at first hearing, first feeling, first sight. A woman at the physiology lab where he was working read the introductory verses of the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra and he was enchanted. Throughout 1968, 1969 and 1970 he was in training as a teacher, in order to teach subjects for meditation research. In 1987 Lorin was awarded a PhD for his studies on the language meditators use to describe their inner experiences.
