Welcome in.
My name is Lisa and today I'm going to guide you through a short but powerful yoga practice called Circle of Joy.
This is going to help you unite your mind,
Your body,
And spirit through breath and movement.
This is a beautiful practice to begin your day with,
To open up the lungs,
To move the body,
And to circulate and surround yourself with positive energy.
So to begin,
Find yourself in a comfortable,
Easy seated position,
Sukhasana,
Sitz bones are grounded down on the earth,
With a nice,
Long,
Tall spine.
Let's bring our palms together right at the heartbeat,
Dip the chin slightly,
And softly close the eyes.
Let's begin with a grounding breath,
Big breath in,
Easy exhale out of your mouth,
And I'd like to offer you a moment to set a sankalpa for your day.
This is an intention.
Any mantra that may come to mind,
It can always simply be to be fully present here and now.
Beautiful.
And then let's begin.
On an inhale,
Interlace your fingers,
Lift the elbows nice and high.
On the exhale,
Press the palms away from you as you bring your chin to your chest,
Navel towards the spine,
Shoulder blades spread wide.
Inhale,
Reach the palms all the way up,
Grow nice and tall.
On the exhale,
Release the hands and bring them behind you,
Fingertips touch the earth.
Inhale,
Lift the heart,
Open the chin,
Breathing in.
Exhale,
Hands come back to heart center.
Good,
Let's do that four more times.
Inhale,
Elbows lift.
Exhale,
Press the energy away from you,
Chin to chest,
Navel towards your spine.
Inhale,
Sweep the palms all the way up towards the sky.
Exhale,
Release,
Fingertips touch down.
Inhale,
Lift the heart,
Open the collarbones.
Exhale,
Hands right to our heartbeat.
Again,
Inhale,
Lift.
Exhale,
Press any negative energy away from you.
Inhale,
Gather up positive energy for your day.
Exhale,
Release the fingers behind you.
Inhale,
Open up to limitless possibility.
Exhale,
Hands right to our heartbeat.
Two more,
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale,
Use the entire length of your breath.
Inhale.
Last one,
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Inhale.
And then pause here for a moment.
Softly close the eyes.
And take a grounding breath again through the nose,
Big breath in.
Out through the nose,
Big breath out.
Observing the movement,
The breath,
The connection circulating within and around you.
Feeling so grateful to make this time and dedicate time for your well-being.
May this peace go with you today off the mat,
To have,
To share with everyone who crosses your path.
Om Shanti peace,
Peace,
Peace,
Peace.
Be with you always.
Thank you so much for trusting me to guide your practice this morning.
Namaste.
Namaste,
Thank you so much for joining me.
I hope I will see you in the next class.
Create a beautiful day.
