I share spiritual insight,
Practical tools,
And heart-centered practices to help you cultivate self-love,
Trust the unfolding of your unique path,
And step into your highest self.
So take a deep breath,
Settle in,
And let's explore,
Grow,
And flourish together.
And always remember,
You are loved.
Beyond measure.
Hi everyone,
Welcome in.
Let's take our one cycle of breath to come into the present moment to let go of your day,
Your week.
All the things so we can be fully present here and you can receive.
Got my little singing bowl here.
Let's go ahead and close the eyes.
Exhale everything out as you relax your shoulders.
Allow your palms to be face up at your side or on your leg.
And let's take a deep inhale through your nose,
Filling up the belly,
Your ribs expand.
And feel the breath all the way up to the chest and shoulders.
And easy exhale out of your mouth.
And breathing in through your nose.
And breathing out through your nose.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Thank you,
Thank you.
I always like to start these episodes with our breath,
Because I really want this to be a space for you to receive,
You know,
To elevate your vibration to hear something positive.
And take an inward journey,
You know,
Kind of check in with ourselves here.
If you're brand new,
My name is Lisa Flora,
And I started this podcast as a yoga and meditation teacher who wanted to create a space for community and a place where you can land.
To deepen your own personal journey of self-love,
Of faith,
Of growth.
Of transformation.
And to live a well balanced,
But most importantly,
Live an inspired life,
You know,
In your mind,
In your body and in your spirit.
So I have something I want to talk about today that came to me.
And it's,
We're in the world of social media,
And I don't think it's going anywhere,
You know.
And I myself have been trying to be more mindful,
You know,
Always with how I show up,
What I share,
The why behind everything I share.
I want to be very intentional.
About it and Because,
You know,
We're in this world of social media not going anywhere,
There's a lot of A lot of people in this spiritual community.
Who?
How can I explain this?
Everything is energy,
You know,
And we feel,
You know,
You can walk into a room and feel the energy,
My empaths,
You know,
This,
We feel the energy around us,
We feel the energy of the people we surround ourselves with,
You know,
And I know myself that when I'm online,
I can feel the energy from someone Thrill the copy that they write or the picture that they share,
Like,
There's an energy behind it,
You feel right.
And sometimes you look at something and you know,
I get I get a loud internal,
Nope.
You know,
Or.
It really lands,
You know,
In my heart as a full body,
Yes,
Like I feel light from this person,
I feel expansion from this person,
I feel truth.
So I know,
Whether it's in person or online,
I know what rings true for me,
I know what feels Right.
And in the world of spirituality,
I gotta tell you,
There's a lot of false coming up for me.
And,
You know,
I'm constantly reviewing who I follow.
And mindful,
You know,
Of what I'm listening to,
Who I'm watching,
Who I'm paying attention to what books I buy.
And I tend to go back to,
You know,
The roots of of my spiritual journey,
You know,
And I'm talking my roots,
You know,
As I was,
And I'm not,
Not a religious person.
And,
You know,
But I always say Jesus is my jam.
You know,
I was raised in a Catholic home and I still love traditional prayers that I say every day.
I am still very much grounded.
In my faith in Jesus and what he exemplified and what he came to this planet to offer,
Which to me is the divine energy of unconditional love for one another.
And I also embrace,
You know,
I embrace Eastern traditions,
You know,
I say Buddhist mantras.
My yoga practice,
You know,
Comes from an ancient lineage that's thousands and thousands of years old.
So I draw from different practices,
But there's a common thread of love that I feel,
The highest vibration of humility,
Of love.
Of deep,
Deep compassion for this human experience for one another,
For the planet,
For nature,
For animals,
You know,
It's really grounded in that.
Sense of peace,
And a sense of almost quiet.
Faith and,
And also a very deep willingness to embrace the mystery of my spiritual journey,
To embrace the mystery of faith,
To embrace that I don't know at all.
And the spiritual authors or teachers.
And mentors that have come into my life also encourage me to nourish my own uniquely.
Divinely guided personal relationship with God.
And when I say God,
As I've said on this podcast before,
Please insert your own word.
That resonates with you because I am speaking of the all-encompassing energy.
Of love.
That I believe runs through into us and connects each one of us in ultimately oneness.
Whenever I teach a yoga class,
I love to end with Namaste and acknowledge it's the light in me recognizes and honors that same light within you.
That is of love,
Of truth,
Of peace,
And of light.
And when you are in that place in you,
And I am in that place in me.
We are one.
And what I want to talk about.
Is how to know.
How to recognize that a practice or a person or something that has drawn you in.
Is of that love,
Is of God.
Essentially.
Having that discernment,
You know,
In your own life,
On your own personal journey of faith,
Because it is very personal.
Each one of us is going to have different teachers come into our life,
Different threads,
You know,
Are woven throughout our lives,
You know,
That guide us and it's,
It's a never ending journey,
You know,
Of hopefully deepening and strengthening your faith,
You know,
In your co creator in your higher power.
And I have some questions that you can ask.
And then we'll get to a little bit of the full moon coming up this week.
And I wrote these questions down.
So how can you recognize what is of God?
And I want to tell you Drawing on the foundation of faith that I was given,
We always learned of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
The fruits.
Right.
What are the fruits?
And that is.
To look at a teacher or a practice.
And not to judge it by the label.
Or even how powerful something feels.
But it's judge it by the fruits of that practice of your experience,
Meaning Does it foster love within you?
Is it cultivating love more?
Within you,
Is it helping you become more compassionate,
More forgiving?
Having more patience,
You know,
More patience in your life.
More kindness,
Loving kindness toward yourself and others.
Is it fostering that?
Right?
Rather than,
Do you find yourself becoming more judgmental?
That's something to take a look at.
Secondly,
Does it foster humility?
And humility is my favorite quality of any spiritual teacher.
You know,
Humility and grace.
Does it foster that sense of embracing that mystery of acknowledging and knowing?
We can't possibly know it all.
Or is it encouraging a sense of self-importance,
Ego-driven insights,
Self-indulgence?
Is it encouraging a superiority over others?
Is it encouraging others to believe that this teacher who may call themselves a guru has special powers or something,
You know,
Pay attention to humility.
In who you're following.
Does it bring you freedom or fear?
Okay,
Does the teacher again encourage you to deepen your own relationship with your co creator with God,
Or Make you.
Entirely dependent on their teachings You know,
Does it expand your sense of having this freedom to have your journey your way?
Or it is instilling a sense of fear of God,
You know,
Like,
Oh,
If I don't do this,
I'm not good.
You know,
If I don't do this,
I'll be punished.
You know,
Is there a sense of freedom?
In deepening and in questioning and exploring your own journey of faith.
Your own spiritual practices,
Trying something new,
Because you wanted to try it.
Right?
Or is fear being placed there?
And then this is a big one,
You know.
Does it honor the truth and reality?
Is it encouraging you to believe that anything that bad happens,
Like was your energetic fault,
You know,
That you must have manifested this experience.
It was caused by negative thinking,
Not enough affirmations,
Right?
Like,
Does it really honor the truth and reality?
Very important and Again,
Does it expand your capacity to move through life?
With a sense of love and a sense of joy.
Or is it keeping you small?
Is it keeping you in fear of an authority figure?
Is it keeping you in guilt and shame?
Or does it expand you,
Brightens your light?
You know,
You want to share this love from this sense of overflow.
And for me,
Personally,
And this may not speak to everyone who's listening,
But I asked myself,
Does this align with the qualities?
That Jesus exemplifies,
Which is unconditional love of God,
Of your neighbor,
Humility,
Mercy,
Compassion,
Kindness,
Non judgment,
Inclusiveness,
Right?
These are the,
To me,
The fruits of the Holy Spirit,
Ultimately joy and love.
So does it align?
With that light,
You know,
With,
With love.
Be mindful,
You know.
Because yeah,
Anyone who's trying to tell you their way is the only way or instill in you some kind of fear,
Um.
.
.
It's something to take note of,
You know.
And yeah,
I've,
I myself have gone down the path of exploring different things and different meditations and And I know when I'm like,
No,
That didn't feel right.
And no,
That studio wasn't for me.
And listen,
I've come into contact,
Even up until very recently,
People in the community,
Quote unquote.
Spiritual,
Right,
Who exemplified unkindness.
Not in the energy of kindness,
Not in the energy of openness.
Quite the opposite,
You know,
You know,
So it's,
I think,
You know,
When you know,
Trust,
When you're feeling that love,
And when you're not,
And know that it's okay to explore,
But ultimately have your own sense.
Of discernment,
Really,
You know,
Of knowing what is of the light and what is not.
And it is looking at what are the fruits of the practice?
What are the fruits of that person?
What are they exemplifying?
Are they loving?
Are they kind?
Are they encouraging a deepening?
Of unconditional love,
Of non-judgment.
Of non-dual thinking,
Of letting go of any notion of separateness?
Are they embracing oneness?
You know,
Things to be mindful of as we move along,
You know.
Our own unique journey of faith and spirituality and growth and personal development.
Because there's always going to be.
You know,
People who They're they don't have the best intentions,
You know,
Are they encouraging you to give money and encouraging you to be filled with fear?
You know,
Are they discouraging you from outside counsel,
You know?
Do they practice essentially what they share?
And again,
Do they allow you to explore and question what they are teaching without being accused of lacking faith or being spiritually lost?
It's OK.
It's OK to question.
It's okay to explore.
Okay,
So we know every full moon,
Gosh,
It invites us to slow down to surrender,
Reconnect with our body,
Allow yourself to receive,
Get softer,
Let go.
But this full moon is in Taurus,
And that's an earth sign ruled by Venus.
An important point,
Venus is currently retrograde.
And remember,
Venus is associated with love,
With beauty,
With values,
With our self worth.
And the earth element is our sense of security and safety.
It is nourishment,
Our tangible abundance.
Planet is retrograde,
I really feel like this is such a great full moon,
Kind of has us reflecting on themes surrounding worthiness,
You know,
Feeling safe within yourself.
Are you fulfilled?
What habits are we holding on to?
Shedding old identities and letting go of old habits or negative thinking patterns or even relationships simply recognizing am I holding on to them simply because they're familiar,
Right?
And appreciating,
Taking a look back on and knowing what has supported you along your path.
But knowing it's okay to choose something different because it's more aligned with who.
You are becoming.
So I really feel like this full moon is revisiting our own self love journey,
Our self worth journey,
Revisiting your relationship with yourself,
Where you still looking outside yourself for validation.
And a lot of people honestly,
They hop on or they're invited.
Onto a spiritual path or journey of exploration,
When they are in a very vulnerable spot,
You know?
So it's recognizing,
Do I have this sense of Deep faith.
This sense of groundedness in my beliefs within myself,
Or am I still searching for it outside of myself?
You know,
It is asking about abundance.
What does that mean to you?
What does abundance mean to you beyond money?
Because I view the word abundance as lots of things,
As time,
As space,
As the loving relationships in my life.
You know,
It's way more than what's in your bank account.
You know,
It's vibrant health is abundance,
You know.
And then,
You know,
Recognizing your choices surrounding your self-worth and surrounding fear of not having enough,
Fear of not being supported.
I know I,
Myself,
I work on that sense of limitless abundance and support that I know is always with me,
You know,
Always reminding myself.
To shed the fear of not having enough or,
You know,
Taking the chance on something or.
Changing something out of out of fear,
I'm always being mindful,
Like,
Hey,
Am I doing this?
Or not doing this out of fear,
Right?
But let's get to a little angel message today.
So your angel message is your intuition is the voice of your inner being.
Trust it to guide you toward your purpose.
Love that.
So trust your inner voice,
Your gut feeling,
And that's that sense of,
You know,
A heck yes,
Or a heck no,
Right?
Does it light you up?
Does it open you up?
Trust if something's just not for you,
You know,
You know it in your body,
Pay attention to your body.
Your intuition speaks to you in that in that way?
Is it expanding you?
Helping you to open your heart?
Are you do you feel excited,
Expanded?
Or are you like,
That's not for me.
It's not for me.
Right?
So trust it to guide you toward your purpose.
All right,
So let's get an empath.
Empowerment message for the week.
Our Empath Empowerment Message this week is Remember Your Gifts.
It says focus on your blessings rather than dwelling on adversity.
Pause and give thanks for your gifts,
Such as your sensitivity,
Intuition,
Health,
Friendships,
Or family.
And I mean,
All of those to me is what I was talking about with the word abundance.
All of that is abundance.
Your sensitivity is your gift,
Your intuition,
Vibrant health,
Your friendships,
Your family.
And this is like a reminder to acknowledge the blessings in your life.
Focus on all the love,
All the joy,
All the blessings in your life,
Rather than shift your focus off of any sense of lack.
Because remember,
What you focus on.
You will create.
What you think you create,
You know?
And if you're focusing on Any sense of I am lack,
I lack this,
I lack that.
This is what we're essentially drawing.
Energetically toward us,
This lack.
So remember your gifts.
Focus on the blessings in your life.
Focus on all the blessings,
However big,
However small,
Whatever just popped up in your mind,
The love,
The family,
The vibrant health,
Your home,
Your sense of well-being,
Your inner peace,
Which is priceless.
Alignment,
The connections that are happening in your life,
The new practices you have engaged in that are deepening your faith.
Be grateful for all of it.
Be grateful for your inner voice that's always guiding you.
Be grateful for the friendships,
For the loving support around you.
Focus on the blessings this week.
This is a message.
Take the focus off of any sense of lack and focus on the abundance in your life.
Remember your gifts.
And the more we align with that sense of gratitude.
I challenge you this week,
Watch what happens.
The more gratitude and joy we feel,
The more things that bring more joy into our life appear.
I love that.
So thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you always for being here.
I'm so grateful for you.
I will meet you right back here.
Create a beautiful day.
Namaste.
