Aad Gurey Nameh - Mantra For Protection
Mantras are sacred sounds, syllables, words, divine names, or phrases that are recited in sacred rituals and spiritual practices to cultivate certain qualities, awaken one’s true nature, and transform the mind. The Sanskrit word “mantra” translates as “mind training” or "mind protection" and, from the Buddhist perspective, chanting mantras also helps to purify our speech. The Mangala Charan mantra from the Kundalini Yoga tradition is said to strengthen one's aura and help create a protective energetic shield around one's physical body and environment. I find it to be very centering and it also helps to recognize and/or establish our own "boundaries." I love to chant this mantra before attending large gatherings and/or before stepping into the wild and wonderful vibrations of New York City
