Hello,
And welcome to the Midlife Glow.
I'm Laura Mueller,
And I'm so happy you're here.
I created this series because I think there's a conversation that many women need to have.
A conversation about what happens when we reach midlife.
Enter perimenopause,
And suddenly find ourselves feeling a little different.
Maybe you've looked in the mirror lately and wondered who that tired-looking woman is.
Maybe your skin has changed,
Your body feels unfamiliar,
Your energy isn't what it used to be,
And getting dressed or putting on makeup just doesn't feel the same.
Maybe you feel like you've lost a little bit of your sparkle.
If any of that sounds familiar,
I want you to know you're in good company.
And I hope this series will feel like a little reminder that you're still very much in there.
So,
A little about me.
My name is Laura Moeller.
As I said,
I'm in the deep end of perimenopause myself,
And I'm navigating many of the same changes that you might be experiencing.
As a registered 500-hour yoga teacher,
A beauty advisor,
And a certified meditation guide,
I've been passionate about beauty,
Skincare,
Healthy living,
And wellness for as long as I can remember.
I've studied yoga extensively and Ayurveda.
I studied beauty and skincare,
And I love exploring how the little things we do each day can influence how we feel.
My own journey hasn't exactly gone according to plan though.
I've been living with debilitating chronic fatigue syndrome for several years now.
And I'm slowly finding my way toward better health and a more balanced life.
It's changed the way I think about exercise,
Energy,
Productivity,
And self-care.
I've had to learn to listen to my body,
Respect its limits,
And find new ways to enjoy life without constantly pushing myself.
And I think there's an interesting connection between that experience and what so many women are going through during perimenopause.
Our bodies change,
Our energy changes,
Our priorities shift,
And sometimes we have to discover what feeling good actually means to us.
That's a big part of why I wanted to create the midlife glow.
This isn't about trying to look 25 again,
Chasing perfection,
Or turning back the clock.
It's about feeling good in the body we're living in right now.
It's about taking care of ourselves,
Having fun with beauty,
And discovering what works for us,
And feeling confident in our own skin.
And yes,
I absolutely believe we can still enjoy a little lipstick,
A lovely skincare routine,
A new hairstyle,
Or a beautiful outfit.
Sometimes those little things can make us feel like ourselves again.
Over the coming episodes,
We're going to explore lots of different aspects of midlife.
We'll talk about skin care and how our skin changes as hormones fluctuate.
We'll explore makeup techniques,
Products,
And little beauty tricks that can help us look refreshed and feel more confident.
We'll talk about movement and exercise,
Including how to find activities that support our changing bodies without leaving us completely exhausted.
We'll explore nutrition,
Healthy eating,
Hydration,
And the ways we can support our bodies as we age.
We'll also have some honest conversations about energy levels,
Fatigue,
Sleep.
Brain fog,
And those days when even the simplest things seem to take more effort than they used to.
And there's another topic I really want to make space for.
Loneliness.
I think midlife can sometimes be a surprisingly lonely chapter.
Our children grow up.
Relationships evolve,
Our bodies change,
And we might find ourselves questioning who we are.
And what we want from the next stage of life.
We'll talk about confidence,
Intimacy,
Changing bodies,
Self-image,
Friendships,
Identity,
And finding joy in the new interests and experiences.
We'll also explore meditation,
Mindfulness,
Positive thinking,
And ways to create a little more calm and balance in our everyday lives.
And I want this to be a place where we can talk about all of it without feeling that we have to have it all figured out.
I don't have all the answers.
I'm learning and navigating this chapter right alongside you.
I'll share what I've learned through my training,
My experience in the beauty and wellness world,
And my own personal journey.
Some things will be practical,
Some will be educational,
And some will simply be conversations that remind us of we're not alone.
We'll enjoy simple talks like this and some videos.
Because I also believe in balance.
I'm a big fan of the 80-20 approach to healthy living.
I love discovering beautiful products and healthy habits,
But I don't believe we need to be perfect to feel good.
Life is meant to be enjoyed.
So if you're somewhere in your 40s,
50s,
Or beyond,
If you're navigating perimenopause or menopause,
Or if you're simply interested in feeling healthier,
More confident,
And more connected to yourself,
I'd love to have you join me.
In each episode,
We'll explore a different part of midlife,
Sharing practical ideas,
Personal experiences,
And little ways to help us feel more beautiful,
Confident,
And connected to ourselves.
Think of this as a place to pause.
Reconnect and rediscover your glow,
One conversation at a time.
And perhaps the most important thing I want to leave you with today is this.
Your glow hasn't disappeared.
It might just look a little different these days.
Maybe it's hidden beneath exhaustion,
Changing hormones,
Busy schedules,
Or the demands of everyday life.
But you are still you.
You deserve to feel beautiful.
You deserve to feel good.
You deserve to take time for yourself,
Explore new things,
Laugh,
Feel confident,
And enjoy this chapter of your life.
Midlife isn't the end of something beautiful.
It can be the beginning of something entirely new.
Thank you for spending these few minutes with me.
I'm Laura Moeller,
And this is the Midlife Glow.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
Until next time,
Take a little time for yourself.
Be kind to your body and let your glow shine.
I'll see you soon.
