When we are betrayed by someone who we have given a piece of our heart, it feels as if it has taken away the very breath inside of us that fuels our life force. We struggle to regain air, and peace within our mind and body feels so far away. We question our value, but we must never allow anyone to complete us. We are complete, we are already completely loved and we have a light that is pure love that fills us anytime we allow it. Music credit: Chris Collins)

The pain and hurt of betrayal.

When we are betrayed by someone we have given a piece of our heart,

It feels as if it has taken away the very breath inside of us that fuels our life force.

We struggle to regain air,

And peace within our mind and body feels so far away.

We want so desperately to put our heart back into its rightful place,

To feel the way we felt before we discovered that the one we love and trusted didn't protect our heart.

There is a death that we must mourn,

A vision that we believe to be true.

Our heart hurts from the deepest place that we can literally feel the pain in our chest.

The pain of dishonesty and betrayal causes us to doubt our own value,

Or how special we really were to another that we love so deeply.

It causes us to doubt our own ability to see a person or relationship for what it truly is.

Trusting again with our heart seems impossible,

When it wasn't held sacred by the one we offered it to.

But you see,

My love,

Our heart being broken open is a rare opportunity to allow it to be filled with the most pure and real love that we can imagine.

The immense and true love that is already inside of us has always been there,

But we look elsewhere to have another give us love and complete us.

You are already complete.

You are full.

You are enough,

And you are love.

You are loved completely.

To heal,

We must go through the pain.

We must sit with it like a crying,

Hurt child in our laps,

Struggling to breathe through the tears whose heart has broken.

Embrace this deep hurt,

My love.

Hold it and talk to it sweetly,

And let it be felt.

We must not go around the pain,

Distract ourselves from it,

Numb it,

And we must resist the urge,

The strong urge to allow it to turn into anger or resentment.

If we do,

We are truly the recipients of those daggers that close our hearts and prevent ourselves from receiving the beautiful love that we so deserve.

And dear love,

That another's betrayal and dishonesty and the disregard for holding us in the relationship sacred is a reflection of their own life journey of sadness,

Of hurt experienced,

And their own broken heart searching for a way to fill the resulting voids.

It is everything but a reflection on you,

My love.

This is an opportunity to love ourselves in a deeper way than we have ever allowed ourselves to possess,

An empty love,

A love without fear,

Without anger,

Without resentment,

But pure,

Full,

Nonjudgmental love that comes from the light and the pure soul inside of us.

Our broken heart can allow the light to come through and fill our body,

To emanate out of us,

To all around us.

We find a greater joy that is not dependent on another or anything exterior,

But a love and a joy that is there regardless of anyone in our lives or their actions.

No one should ever be given the power to take the joy and the peace away from you.

Hold yourself sacred,

My love,

And let the light inside completely embrace you.

Close over your eyes now.

Take a slow,

Healing,

Cleansing breath through the nose,

Into the chest,

Down into the abdomen,

Holding,

And then a slow release back up through the chest and out of your open mouth.

Continue these slow,

Cleansing,

Deep breaths.

With the next breath,

Visualize the light of pure love going into the heart with a glowing white light.

As we breathe out,

The light spreads up between our eyes,

Easing the mind,

Relaxing our face,

Calming the neck,

Dropping the shoulders,

The light spreading down our body into our legs,

Cleansing the body and filling us with love that emanates out of our fingers and toes,

Our body glowing with bright white light.

Again,

We breathe into the heart slowly,

Chest rising,

Filling the body with love.

As we breathe out,

A slight smile forms,

Our eyes relax,

The warm embrace of love calming the body and the moment breath into the nose,

Lifting our chin just a little towards the sky,

A slight smile,

And out through the mouth,

Releasing.

A loving presence embraces our whole body.

On the next out breath,

We drop our chin and a slight bow of gratitude to our sweet,

Sweet soul that's embracing us with love.

With a hand on your heart now,

We say the words,

I am enough,

I am so complete,

I am love,

I am enough,

I am complete,

I am only love,

I am enough,

I am complete,

I am love.

We must not ever give ourselves anything but love.

Be in love with this precious moment in every moment.

Be well,

My love,

And hold yourself in this moment,

Sacred.
