Meditation Timer OnlineAfter spending a few years working as a software engineer in Silicon Valley, Kolin realized his true passion lay not in engineering computers, but in engineering human minds and bodies via natural methods. This led to starting a corporate mindful meditation program, and flying around the globe to create and teach workshops for hundreds of employees. Eventually, he decided to leave the office life to travel on his own, in order to study deeper into the roots of the practices he cherished, chase ocean waves on foreign shores, and find his personal flow. His worldly adventures included several multi-day silent meditation retreats in Vietnam, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, where he absorbed Buddhist teachings presented from an Eastern perspective. These experiences came together with his passion for the ocean and surf to develop Kolin’s teaching methods, which seek to combine contemplative practices with physical ones, to help people bridge the perceived gap between mind and body, drop into states of flow, and appreciate the connectedness of the world around them. He is now based in Ayampe, Ecuador, where he founded The BELL Center to create a physical space for others to come and practice a mindful way of living near the ocean.
