Go ahead and find a peaceful place where you can relax comfortably.

Close your eyes and begin to bring your awareness to the present moment.

As you settle into your body,

Let go of any thoughts,

Questions,

Or tasks that may be occupying your mind.

As you become more attuned to your body,

Shift your focus to your breath.

Release any need to control your breath and instead surrender to its natural rhythm.

Notice how effortlessly your body knows how to breathe without any conscious effort on your part.

Trust in the wisdom of your body to take care of its own needs.

Pay attention to the end of each inhale,

Where a subtle pause naturally occurs.

Embrace the silence and stillness within these moments of pause.

As you deepen your focus on the pauses,

You may begin to notice the emergence of a beautiful space within you.

It is within this space that the next step in your journey unfolds.

Pauses may arise,

Clarity may find its way,

And a sense of peace and calm may envelop you.

Recognize the power held within these precious pauses.

Remember that the power of the pause is always available to you,

Wherever you may be.

Whenever you feel a boundary being crossed or the clamor of your inner critic growing louder,

Grant yourself the gift of a momentary pause.
