I'm Kate James and this is the inner peace meditation.
Move into a comfortable position now,
Either seated or lying down.
And take a couple of breaths as you invite your awareness into the present moment.
Close your eyes or gently soften your gaze.
Become aware now of your breath in your body.
Aware of the sensation of the breath as it passes across the top lip.
Aware of the movement in the chest and the abdomen.
Aware of the inflow and the outflow of the breath.
And the flowing sensation of breathing.
ε¨ wed liability Guide your attention into your hands now,
Opening your palms and noticing the sensations in your fingers and your fingertips.
Feel the vibrancy in the palms of your hands as they fill with the energy of peace.
Take a deep breath in now and expand this energy throughout your whole body.
Rest your awareness on the centre of the forehead now and open to the white light of peace.
Let this healing light wash over your entire body now.
Bringing softness around your eyes,
Releasing tightness in your jaw,
Relaxing your lips and your tongue,
Washing tension away from your shoulders,
Softening through your chest and your abdomen,
And relaxing all the way down to your feet.
Breathe deeply into this feeling of inner quiet.
As you bring your awareness fully into the present moment,
Recognising that in this moment there is no need to concern yourself with the future or past.
All of your attention right here,
As you offer yourself this time to feel completely at peace.
Imagine now that you can bring peace.
Now that you can bring peace into all of your life settings.
In the places where you spend your days.
In the relationships with the people you care most about.
And in the way you relate to yourself.
Anytime you lose touch with this inner quiet,
Imagine guiding your awareness to the present moment and reconnecting with the energy of peace.
Hold onto this feeling of stillness now,
As you begin to bring your awareness back into the room.
Notice the sounds in the room around you.
And feel the air against your skin.
Slowly stretch your body.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
