My name is Kat.
And thank you so much for joining me today.
For this meditation on the practice.
Of acting as if.
To begin.
Find a comfortable seated position in a safe and quiet space.
When you feel ready.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And slowly exhale through your mouth.
Breathe in gently.
And as you exhale.
Just allow your shoulders to begin to soften.
One more intentional breath in.
And as you exhale.
Just allow yourself.
To arrive in this moment.
Now let your breathing return back.
To its own natural rhythm.
Its own natural pace.
Just notice what it feels like.
To be here right now.
So I like to begin this practice by holding space for two reflective questions.
What if you didn't have to wait?
Feel confident before taking the next step.
What if confidence could actually grow from being willing?
Take that step.
Take a moment to allow these two questions to settle in.
Notice if any feelings or thoughts come up in your body.
If not.
.
.
That's okay.
But either way.
Just stay with this moment.
Because confidence doesn't necessarily come before action.
Often,
It grows as a result of it.
Will you become?
By doing.
You may be able to relate to some of these thoughts.
When I feel more secure.
Then I'll go for it.
When I stop second-guessing myself?
That's when I'll speak up.
When I feel worthy,
That's when I allow myself to receive.
It's so easy to get caught up in this way of thinking.
We think we need to feel ready first in order to begin.
But the truth is,
We may never feel ready.
And that's where the practice of acting as if comes in.
Acting as if doesn't mean pretending to be someone you're not.
It means choosing to move through this world as the person you are becoming.
So I'd like you to take a moment and imagine yourself.
Moving through your day.
With a little more trust in yourself.
How would you speak if you believed your voice mattered?
How would you respond?
If you knew you didn't have to prove your worth.
And how might you move through this world?
If you act as if.
You are already enough.
There are no right answers to these questions.
Just notice what comes up in your body.
When you give yourself a moment.
Pause and reflect.
And now I'd like you to think about the small moments in your day.
When you choose to do something differently.
Maybe you speak with a little more confidence.
Or respond with an intention rather than a fear.
These moments matter.
Because each time you do this,
You're creating another memory of strength.
And over time.
These small moments.
They become evidence.
Evidence that you can move through uncertainty.
And that you're capable of handling whatever comes next.
So today,
I'd like you to ask yourself.
What would I do?
If I trusted my process of becoming.
And then.
.
.
Take one small step in that direction.
Act as if you are already worthy.
Act as if you are already capable.
Act as if.
You already belong.
And see what happens when you start giving yourself permission to believe in these things.
Remember.
Confidence will grow from action.
And courage will grow from practice.
And the person you are becoming.
Is created through the small choices.
You make each and every day.
Take a long,
Slow,
Intentional inhale.
And as you exhale.
Remind yourself that you are already on your way.
When you feel ready.
Gently open your eyes.
And just bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Just take one more moment to pause and reflect.
Before you move on with the rest of your day.
And thank you again.
For joining me today for this practice.
On Acting As If.
Until next time.
