Journey With The Spirit Of Cacao To Meet Your Ancestors

A guided cacao journey into the jungle of Guatemala, in the land of the Maya, where the spirit of cacao comes to welcome you and walks you to a gathering of healers, elders and ancestors, beyond time and space.
Carried by my shamanic drum, my voice and sacred chants, you will share your own light with this gathering, receive its care, and come home to your body feeling held and connected to all that lives.
This journey first came to me as a vision, in a quiet moment after a cup of ceremonial cacao grown in Brazil.
A journey to open your heart, honour your ancestors and strengthen your relationship with the spirit of cacao. If you have a cup of ceremonial cacao, start this practice 10 to 20 minutes after drinking it.

Bring your awareness back inside your body. With a long, Slow breathing. Imagine roots growing from your feet and from the base of your spine. Reaching down into the earth. And open the top of your head to the wide sky above you. Let your breath come from your heart and from your belly. Now breathe in fully and slowly breathe out. Bringing ease and softness into your whole body. Once more. Take a big breath in. Feel your lungs open a little more simply because you are breathing with care. We thank Pachamama, Our Mother Earth, And the Great Intelligence of Life. We thank the heart of the sky and the heart of the earth. The ancestors and the four sacred winds. We honour the medicines of the forest and the sacred heart of Kakao. Breathe in again. And let the love and presence fill the landscape inside you. Open yourself now to receive the medicine. You are standing at the edge of a jungle in Guatemala. In the land of the Maya. The air is warm and soft. And the forest is alive with sounds. And you feel a gentle presence coming to welcome you. It is the spirit of cacao itself. You can feel both its feminine and its masculine side. And a warm golden light glows all around it. The spirit of cacao comes towards you and says Welcome my friend. I will take you to the healing gathering that lives beyond time and space. Two great elders have come together there in a sacred prayer. Follow me and I will show you what true strength is. So you begin to walk. With the spirit of cacao close beside you. You feel its soft presence. Familiar and dear, Like an old friend. You feel at ease and safe. And together you move through the forest without any effort, Guided by this loving spirit. Then, In front of you, A clearing opens in the forest. You become aware of a great ring of light made by a gathering of beings standing together. You walk towards it, Breathing slowly. The spirit of cacao is right behind you now. Holding you and guiding you into this gathering. You step in full awareness and take your place. And you begin to notice the souls who have come together for this sacred moment. You feel the presence of guardians. Of healers. Shaman. Of wise grandmothers and grandfathers. You feel the presence of your own ancestors and of the ancestors of this land. In this gathering you feel the love of the heart of sky and the heart of earth, Holding everything that lives. You hear melodies and prayers. You hear the drum. The chanting. The devotion. And you're wide open to receive all these medicines. You feel harmony spreading through your body, Like a warm cup of cacao that brings you back to presence. At the center of the gathering. A living light is shining. A light that holds all our differences together. And you feel the loving presence of all the souls who have gathered with you. You understand that your presence matters, That you are an essential part of this gathering. So it's time to open your heart and share the light you carry. A light with its own unique color. Flowing from your heart into the center. And then from the center back into your heart. And all the colors flowing from the center towards every heart begin to dance and pour through your whole being, Nourishing you, Wrapping you and comforting you. Your heart fills with all the colors of the rainbow. And more coming from a source far older and further away, The very first source. You feel the gathering holding you. You feel the spirit of cacao holding you. And you realize that you are not separate from anyone. You are woven into the great web of life. When your body is overflowing with light and your cup is full. Let this water of awareness flow towards everything that needs to be filled. The Earth. The people. The communities. The forest too. The plants. The growers and cacao itself. Rest in this feeling for a while. Welcoming the gathering. Welcome the spirit of cacao into your being. Now you feel it's time to leave this gathering of light or the place where you have arrived. You take a step back and you see the ring of light gently close or the place where you are slowly fade away. Only the spirit of cacao is still with you. Waiting to guide you on the way home. Thank the Great Spirit. The Heart of Sky and the Heart of Earth. The spirit of cacao and all the forces of life. And know that you can come back whenever you wish. You only need to call on the spirit of cacao when you want to return. You now feel the presence of cacao inside you. Walking you home. Into your body, Onto this earth. Offer the spirit of cacao a few words of thanks or send it a ray of your own rainbow light to show your love. Slowly come back into your body with a long breath in. Let this breath bring your soul and your awareness fully back into your physical body. Now you feel awake, Alive. Vibrance Gently stretch your fingers and your toes. Move your legs. Touch your body and your face. Notice that you are in your body of flesh, Your most beautiful gift. And when you are ready, You can open your eyes.
