Inviting you to close your eyes or soften your gaze as feels comfortable.
Inviting you to only do that of this practice that feels good and helpful,
And to not do anything that brings discomfort.
Before we dive in,
Inviting you to take a moment to check in with yourself.
What's your level of stress like?
And if your stress were a plant,
What kind of plant would it be in this moment?
How do you know?
What tells you in this moment how stressed you are?
And is that stress helpful to you right now,
Or could it be less?
If you'd like to reduce your stress or if you're just curious,
Inviting you to join me in orienting to color.
Inviting you to open your eyes and look around the space you're in.
You might take a moment to notice what's to either side of you.
What's above you?
And what's below you.
And if it's possible for you,
Inviting you to turn your head and neck to look behind you as well.
Now taking a moment to notice the colors in your space.
Are there any reds?
Yellows?
Any pinks or oranges.
Any greens or blues.
Purples or browns.
A different colour entirely.
Gently coming back from that.
Inviting you to once more check in with your stress.
That plant,
Has it changed?
If so,
How can you tell?
Wishing you a colourful day.
