Hi,
This is James Anthony Walker.
I hope you'll join me now and take a few moments to look at the world as it may really be,
As we've never seen it,
As we've only seen it in our dreams,
Or how we have once seen it through the unbounded imagination of a child.
All it requires is that we close our eyes,
Center ourselves with a few deep,
Regular breaths and believe once again in the magic and the wonder of life,
Knowing that in this world anything is possible.
So let's take a moment to breathe into this new magical space.
Walk with me now as we step into a place where the air feels like silk,
Gently caressing our skin,
Into a world that smiles as it kindly,
Selflessly makes space for us.
As we walk into this space,
A meadow stretches out before us,
Without horizon.
Its beauty is stunning,
Flowers everywhere,
Blooming in the sunlight.
They nod their heads,
As if to greet us,
Offering their sweet scent that lingers on our skin,
And petals that lovingly wave to us in the gentle breeze.
The sky above us in this space feels like a warm ocean overhead,
As it moves lazily,
Rippling like water stirred by the wind.
Clouds float by,
Softly.
They cast no shadows,
But instead leaves trails of light that sparkle in the meadow like dust made of stars.
We sit beneath a tree,
And while its bark hums its song without words,
We watch and wonder as it sheds its leaves,
Floating upward into the sky,
Disappearing into the sun.
Standing in the meadow,
We press our ears to the ground,
And we can hear the whispers from the roots of ancient trees,
A conversation between earth and sky.
They speak of how everything is change,
About how creative this thing called life is,
If we stay present to it.
Their voices,
Soft,
Like the echo of dreams we once had as a child,
Though we've long forgotten the details.
Farther into the meadow,
We walk barefoot over a stone walkway,
Each one soft and smooth under our toes,
Each stone warmed by the sun like freshly baked bread.
As we follow their path,
Each one rings like a well-used Tibetan bowl.
As their harmony blends,
Then dissipates into the air,
Their secrets well-kept.
We don't need to understand them.
They sing just to sing,
Just as we breathe,
Just to breathe.
As we continue to take this all in,
We notice that here,
Earth,
Sky,
Water,
Everything,
Everything glows.
Not with heat or fire,
But with the gentle glow of understanding,
Songs without words.
Walking down the path,
The trees bend their branches towards us,
As if waving goodbye.
And as we move on,
Mindfully present to this magical flow,
Where the dreams swim in light and whisper softly.
This is the wonder of a world less known,
And in the moment,
It is enough.
So much yet to see,
But the heaviness in our eyelids is telling us that it's time to sleep,
Time to dream.
Or maybe,
Just maybe,
We already are.
And so for now,
It's time to leave this sacred space.
As you begin to gently,
Easefully return to your world,
At least for now more familiar,
I promise that I'll see you soon,
In this magical meadow,
Where dreams swim in light and whisper softly.
Until then,
Many thanks to the incredibly talented duo of Ada and Nathan Ketchy,
Known here on Insight Timer as WAKES,
For their delightful track,
Dream Space,
That has provided the soundbed for this meditation.
I hope you'll visit them soon,
But in the meanwhile,
Please enjoy more of their track,
Dream Space.
Many blessings.
