Settle into a calm and quiet place.
You can sit or lie down.
Take three deep breaths.
In through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
Now bring your breathing to a normal pace.
You are safe.
There is no judgement or criticism.
Envision the person you want to cut cords with,
Standing in front of you.
This could be someone you've already cut out of your life,
Or someone you want to keep in your life,
But you just want to cut off any negative energy or unhealthy ties.
See the person standing in front of you.
Look at where the cords are attached.
Is it to your heart,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Or your legs?
See what the cords look like.
Are they thick and grey,
Or are they heavy chains?
Now look at the person in the eyes and tell them,
I forgive you.
I release the need to blame you.
I release you with love.
Now grab your tool of choice.
It could be scissors,
An axe,
And cut all the cords between you and this person.
Watch the cords fall away from you.
Now envision a bright white light filling the both of you,
Starting from your head all the way to your toes.
You are now free.
You can come back to this meditation anytime when you feel like you need to cleanse your energy.
Now bring your attention back to your breath,
Back to your body.
Feel a sense of peace within you.
Feel how your body is supported.
Feel how light you are.
Now take one last deep breath and open your eyes.
Now you can see the light coming through your body.
Now you can see the light coming through your body.
Feel how light you are.
